Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 14 Jul 2022, 06:57

Morning everyone

Still have a white sky, but it's still rather warm.

A busy morning so far. Done all the watering. One of our bushes is being eaten by hares or rabbits  so that had to be covered over and we've also greased the bolts of the huge satellite dish on the side of the house. We haven't been able to use it for a few years as the sky bods changed the range, so it has to go. Been a nesting place for birds and they make such a mess underneath and around the pool. Jose Felipe is coming up this evening, to help Grumpy take it down.

Also checked the big fires, of which we have four on-going. Also the whole country is on red alert for heat and fires

Washing machine on and I will try and do some ironing later.

Salad for dinner, for a change

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s a nice temperature this morning.

Bill’s had his walk and me and John are off out for breakfast shortly (which will actually be John’s second breakfast). Joe’s back from Cornwall later today. Tom’s counting the minutes until the end of term, they break up on Wednesday.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, the weather is nothing like as nice as was forecast, very cloudy although not cold. Edward got up early to watch the Open golf. We don’t have the children today and our dance practice is this afternoon so having a fairly relaxed morning, although I’ll do some ironing before we go out. Miss Osc messaged this morning to say she had forgotten to collect Michael’s new school books from the local bookshop and could I do it, so we’ll do that on our way home from dancing. The last two days, we have booked two cruises, one for December and one for next June - the December one is using the credit from the cruise we had to cancel earlier in the year when we got Covid, so there was only a little bit of extra money to be added to it. We love having something booked!

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

Step away from that ironing board Jan, Cruiser and Osc
I love a brekkie out Jo.

We had a lovely walk yesterday. Today is shopping, we're off to Westwood Cross and our usual weekly trip to M&S. We won't be out for long, we'll be back in time for a latish lunch and a nice lazy afternoon in the garden. I've popped a casserole in the slow cooker, I know it sounds mad in this weather, but even just standing to do a salad makes me leak, it's exhausting, this way dinner only needs dishing up.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon chaps.
We have been to the recycling centre (aka tip) to get rid of some stuff and thence to Asda.
We've also been to the farm to get some eggs and for a paper.
We will have a salad this evening and MrsC will go to B@M to get some tv dinners for her Uncle Jim.
Sunshine and clouds here, a bit cooler than of late.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon everyone :)

Jan, those fires looked horrific on the news! I hope they stay away from you xxx

Something nice to look forward to Osc :D xxx

I was out early to a GP appointment for bloods and a general overhaul  The good news (apart from the good BP) was that I weighed less on their scales than mine, the not so good was that I have lost 4cm in height over the last 7 years when I had my 55 and over Well Woman check :cute: :cute:

Went straight to D’s after that, to go shopping, and since getting home have made lunch for Mick and I. Not quite so hot today, so hopefully Pilates will be a bit more comfortable ;) Got some cleaning to do before that.

Love to all :) xxx

Well the same surgery did it last time :? She said she’d put a note on my records, but it wasn’t a worry at the moment, and most women lose a little height post-meno :cute:
