Looking at the photographs in the press of the two events in question, neither occasion looks that much like a party. Sir Keir and Co are busy washing their nosh down with a few beers in very close confinement, definitely less than 6 feet apart, while Boris and Rishi are standing definitely at least six feet apart next to a table with a boring jug of orange juice on it, so not my idea of a jolly party. If you didn't know any different and had to stick a pin in the photograph of the rule breakers, you could be tempted to stick the pin into Sir Keir.

They say the camera never lies but you might beg to differ on this occasion. Just my casual observation!

Completely agree Medsec I'd have rather been indoors with curry and a beer have to admit, looked far more appealing, apart from the company. Neither appealed in that department

Whilst electioneering was exempt, if you follow the logic of lock downs and social. Distancing, the whole thing was about not moving the virus about the country.

This is the key point, allowed or not travelling half way up the country puts extra emphasis on social distancing. They should have been held to a far higher standard than people who were going to their normal workplace and mixing with people they spent most days with in a room.

It is why I specifically state the difference.

It is history now but I will remember it as it was, not as the press and the Johnson haters want it to be.

I remember Dominic Cummings, Johnson's senior advisor, sitting at a table in the Downing Street garden defending his "eye test" in Durham and being let off by the police. The same police and PCC who have taken no action against Starmer and Raynor.

I remember people being taken aghast that he should even do such a stupid thing and for him to then be protected by the No 10 political machine.

And unlike the selective picture mentioned above I remember ones where Johnson and about seven others are cheek by jowl around a table on which sit four bottles of wine, one of bubbly two of spirits and various nibbles, all of the 'guests' raising their glasses in a toast to someone / something.

Not that I have to "remember" in the literal sense as the visual and audio evidence is out there for all time and for all to see.

There were a lot of photos and diagrams of the inside and outsie of No 10 when the investigation was being carried out.

But all we have seen in the press is a photo of Sir Kier through a window. No diagrams or other photos with other staff inside or oputside the building.

Where was Sir Kier before and after the event?
