Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 26 Jun 2022, 05:33

Good morning.

Back up to high 30s again. 8-)

We're having friends round for a BBQ lunch. Everyone brings food and the men like to show off their cooking skills.
The ladies will be drinking ice cold mojitos watching.

Tonight's viewing is a four part series that was on in the week from Monday to Thursday Back to Birmingham so we'll binge watch that. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny, but with a chilly wind.

Enjoy the bbq Ally :D

Day two of wedding anniversary. 8-)

Will have a proper cooked breakfast and may open a bottle of bubbly that we've had for about 10 years later. Will probably taste like sawdust

Out in the garden today and a lovely dinner of pork tenderloin and garlic mushrooms.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s not so nice here although the sun did peep through briefly a few minutes ago. No plans whatsoever for the day.

Good morning.
Ok day here, sunshine but breezy.

Had a lovely holiday, cottage was next to the sea. One morning MrsC saw dolphins in the bay whilst having a cup of tea.
Happy anniversary Jan!

Good afternoon everybody,,

Have been to shopping at Tesco. When I got tot the botom of the crescent found I could not turn right as I would normally do.
The road had been closed by the police as there was a car on its side across the road. The front was bashed in and debris was
strewn across the road. I could not make out what make of car it was but it looked like an SUV.
When I came back over an hour later the police were still there taking photos. I could see the front wall on one of the houses had
been damaged.Evidently it happened about 4.00 a.m this morning.

Willjust be pottering this afternoon.
Have a good day everybody.

Bright and sunny 8-)

Enjoy the BBQ Ally.
Have a lovely second anniversary day Jan.
That sounds like most of our days Osc
Brunch sounds good Kaz.
Glad you had a lovely holibobs Crommers.

Managed to get all the washing done yesterday so we're free to go out. Planning to drive over to the steps and have a leisurely stroll along the seafront. Will have to stop somewhere for a light lunch, and even more important I'll need a sit down  There's no rush today, I've popped a casserole in the slow cooker so won't have to worry about doing dinner when we get back :D

Hope you all have a good day xx

Thanks Jen.
One evening we met a couple walking along the lovely beach, carrying bags.
They had been out gathering coal for their fire! They had a good lot, too.
To look at the beach (beautifully sandy) you would never think that there would be any coal on it. And how amazing to think that all these years since the mines closed, coal from the pit waste dumped in the sea would still be being washed up!

Afternoon all, I’ve finally sat down.

We went to Stafford this morning and then it was straight back to cook dinner. Once that was eaten we went to a garden centre. We went to our usual one last week, a lovely little independent one which is usually very reasonable priced, to look for bedding plants and they were all £4 for a tray of four plants, I worked out what I needed and couldn’t justify spending over £50 for plants which I’ll be pulling back out in three or four months.
I was only going today to get a fuchsia for in a pot by the front door but came away with two lovely bush fuchsias, 40 various marigolds, 24 snap dragons and six cosmo.
Total price £12.50. The fuchsias were a bogof at £2.50 and the bedding plants were £1.50 a tray or four trays for £5 and I bought eight trays. The marigolds were in trays of 10, the snap dragons were in eights and cosmo were six to a tray and they’re all lovely big strong plants.
They’re all planted now and it looks lovely and colourful.
Anyway, aside from the price it was another good independent one that we’ve found.

Have a good evening all :D
