Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 25 Jun 2022, 05:40

Good morning.

Going to be fiercely hot today so I did my walk very early.

I'll have a swim after a coffee.

Happily laze by the pool in the shade and read. :D

Going out tonight with friends to the Thai restaurant.

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Was sunny at 6.00 but now very cloudy  Warm ish though 8-)

It's our 40th wedding anniversary today and tomorrow :Hi: :Hi: Off out for dinner tonight, not sure where, will see which one is open

I have ironing to do and Grumpy is planting some chili seeds, so will need to sort out pots and stuff. Also need to take a couple more cuttings for Jackie. She very kindly gave us some tomato plants yesterday :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s sunny here with a cool breeze.

Off for a walk on Hednesford Hills shortly with John and Bill. I’ve done the ironing while waiting for John to get up, chatted with Joe too as he was up early to go to a park run on Cannock Chase. We need to go and cut my Dad’s lawns this afternoon and then it’ll be back home to fire up the barbecue (must remember to make the burgers before then!). It’ll just be the four of us, Amanda’s not back from Cornwall until late tomorrow and Shannon’s in Spain.

Have a good day all :)

Good morning all, it’s nice and sunny out there but very windy. We had a fab time at The Eagles last night, had a nice meal in town beforehand then walked out to the Aviva stadium. I’d chosen our seats carefully and they were well worth the money I paid for them (I looked on it as another anniversary treat ;) ). The threatened rain never materialised although it was chilly. The Eagles played for about 2 1/4 hours, non-stop music, just brilliant. There were about 65,000 people there, so when we came out we had a look at the queue for the train and decided to walk back down town to get a bus. It’s about 4km, but took longer than it should because of getting out of the stadium area with lots of others walking too. We got home just before 12.30, so we’re just a bit tired this morning! No real plan for the day, I have a wash in the machine and there are a few shirts that might get ironed.

Happy Anniversary to Jan and Grumpy!

Good morning everybody.

The sun is out but there is a cooling breeze and some fluffy white clouds.
Have done some shopping and collected the repeat prescription from the chemist.

Will try and catch upon the dusting and hoovering this afternoon.

Morning all :D

Lovely and sunny here 8-)

Happy Anniversary Jan and Grumpy xx

Enjoy lazing by the pool Ally, wouldn't mind changing places
Have a nice lunch Kaz.
Gosh you were up early Saundra, hope you see the red arrows fly over.
Have a lovely walk Jo.
Glad you enjoyed the Eagles last night Osc.
You've been busy Cruiser.

It went well at the hospital yesterday, I came home with insoles and a blow up ankle brace which can be worn with the insoles or on it's own. Won't lie, both are very uncomfortable, but that's to be expected. Can't believe the difference to my usual arch fit insoles. Damian says to try them both out for a couple of hours at a time indoors. Definitely not to try wearing them on a walk for a while, he's expecting it to take 3 months or so before I'm completely okay with them. I'm to ring him then and he will take a look again.

Didn't get the washing done so the washing machine's on, also doing the bed change so plenty to do. Oh and I had to move the usual Friday Sainsbury's delivery, that will be here sometime between 3-4pm, it's all go here

Hope you all have a good day xx

Had a lovely meal at the Adega do Monte Velho. One of our favourite places to eat. Black pork loin with garlic for me and Black pork loin, but flattened, for himself, with cheese from Serpa.

No rice, but chips and salad.

Gert lush.

We've had a really cold north wind all day, and really strong gusts  Hopefully better tomorrow, I really need to get outside and "do" something, even if it's walk up and down the drive 8-)
