Good morning from fabulous Madrid.

At one point yesterday it clocked a temp of 44°. We must be used to the heat as we just carried on as normal....doing the touristy thing and drinking lashings of water.

This morning we're heading out early to walk from our hotel to el Retiro park. It should take just under two hours. After that it's to the Atocha area which is bohemian with lots of vintage shops.
We've got lots of things circled on our map to see we'll be out till midnight.

Thunderstorm this morning and rain so we stayed in bed Cool and grey now.

The planned working outside has been put on hold, the ground is too wet, so no idea what we're going to be doing. I'll make a beef and mushroom hot pot thingy for later and that's about it. Apart from sheep alert, that is

Morning all, it “feels” like a lovely summer morning out there, I had to pop up to the shop to get snacks for Michael and Kellie’s school lunches. With them being here overnight, we were up early and they’ve gone off to school - it was quite sweet watching the two of them walking off chatting to each other. We have dance practice this morning, then back for when M and K get back from school. In the meantime, off for my shower and a quick tidy around before we go out.

Bill had a very early walk and now he’s enjoying some cool air blowing on him. Joe’s in college today and he’s going for a run when he gets home. Crazy.

I’m off to cut the lawns now before it gets too warm.

MrsC is going to her Uncle Jim's to drop off his birthday present and then on to see her Auntie Violet in Pontefract.
This afternoon I'll get the car valeted.

A lovely sunny day here as well. The office is a super comfortable temperature for a change so happy to be here
Ham and egg salad for lunch for me - I usually make myself quite a large one then don't really need much more for the rest of the day.
