Today we will see just how scared the Tories are

Whether or not a small subset of the UK population booing the PM will scare the Tories into dumping him.

Short are the memories of those to whom he brought a landslide majority.

Now we are out of the EU the Tories find whole new ways of tearing themselves apart. All they need to do now is elect a leader who is soft on the EU and Russia and their destruction is certain.

Yep; and they probably will. Get a rejoiner in as PM and go through another five years of tearing the country apart.

Tbh the Tories are in so much of a turmoil now that unless they change quickly imo it is more or less a given that they will lose the next GE.

The country isn't working. The airports are in chaos, the DVLA is a mess, the passport office ditto, the tube is on strike today in London, the buses are on strike round here, we have the return of inflation and the price of petrol has gone through the roof.

Not all of this is the government's fault but they have to sort it. Labour may be no better but people will just get fed up of these rolling mini-crises and not vote for the government next time.

And may that continue until they can find some decent One Nation Tories to take the party back. Many of us will not touch the Toxics till that happens.

I just wonder what the red wall voters are thinking about the way Boris has handled Brexit. They wanted to get Brexit done and so Boris got their vote. Boris' idea of an oven ready chicken deal might have turned out to be a bit of a turkey! Along with everything else that has happened, the red wall may be on the turn again.

My take is that the Red Wall voters gave a one time license to get out of the EU and a chance to impress them with some focus on these areas in policy.

I'm sure no voter could have conceived of Covid and a war in Ukraine with the massive impact on energy costs when they voted back in Dec 2019. I'm equally sure that they want someone to blame for Covid and inflation and rampant energy costs.

The Tories were going to get buried in the next election anyway without Ukraine. Choosing a new leader now is not going to change that.

BTW we had a "One Nation" Tory. She was called Theresa May. They didn't vote for her and the Parliament used and abused her. I'm highly interested to see what they think they can do to fix this because my view is nothing.
