Worst Bank Holiday weather ever?

Postby Workingman » 05 Jun 2022, 15:44

For the Jubilee it has been 13 °C, 12 °C, 13 °C and today it is 11 °C, and there has been rain, some heavy, every single day.

It is persisting down again right now.

Things must have been ruined for ever so many people in some parts of the country.

We were going to have a meet up on the green out the back but it never happened. The only crowd has been the jackdaws gathering worms.

Maybe not the worst ever but it's certainly been nothing to write home about!

40° is too hot Al, only been in those temps once, in Lanzarote one August, and it was unreal  Take care out there xxx

To be fair its been fine and sunny for the Trooping of the Colour and the concert and although grey and chilly today at least dry. I think it could have been a lot worse

I'm pretty sure all those wearing military uniform were grateful it wasnt any warmer and imagine if we had temps anywhere near Spains

To be fair, it's been fine here for Thursday, Friday and Saturday - bright and breezy during the day, patchy rain overnight.
Today (Sunday) it started drizzling in earnest around 3:00 pm, but we'd already walked back home by then from the town festivities this morning so it didn't affect us.

It has been patchy, depending upon where you live. Up here: crap.

As for temps: I like 25º to about 28º. I have been in the mid 40ºs to 50º+ when in the M.E. and they are just as bad as cold.
