I am shaking!

Postby Workingman » 21 Apr 2013, 20:41

I cannot believe that I did this, but then again I can.

I was leaving the Co-op when a car pulled up. A young woman leapt out of the passenger side and began to run, then a man leapt out of the driver's side and chased her, leaving a toddler in the back. He soon caught up and grabbed the woman and.... then instinct took over.

I grabbed him by the neck, hard, and broke them up. I then got him to calm down, made him calm down. Then I spoke to the woman and made her calm down. They are a Czech couple and were obviously having a 'domestic' and they were not going to do anything but argue. It took ages to get them to a state where a normal conversation could take place and eventually they drove off thanking me.

David knows that I have the reg number of the car and Luba knows there are witnesses.

God! I hope they get over it.

Oh goodness.........no wonder you are shaking.
That was either very brave or very foolhardy. You could have been injured yourself.

Take it easy now.

Well done" Have a Go Hero", WM. I am sure I would try to intervene if I saw a robbery or an attack on someone vulnerable but think it a bit dicey in a domestic dispute without knowing any of the circumstances.
