An act of kindness

I have been blown away by this

Last Weds I met my friend in London. We had coffee in a lovely little coffee shop on Forest Hill and stupid me managed to leave my waterproof coat. I only realised today and rang the shop.

I said just stick it in a jiffy bag second class, hopefully it'll arrive before Friday for my holiday and if not serves me right. I offered to pay if he would give me the bank details, but he said not to worry.

He then rang me, to tell me he has posted it and wished me a lovely holiday. I then got a text with the receipt so I could trace it. He has posted it first class, signed for, next day delivery at a cost of £7.65 I text him, thanked him and said please let me pay but he said no worries.

I have given them a wonderful review on Tripadvisor but I think I will post a thank you card and include £10.00 and say please put to a charity of your choice

That's kindness both ways, Shell. Well done all round.

Make sure to send your card registered so that you know it arrives safely. When I worked at the PO cards, easily identified, were the most "lost" items of mail simply because many of them do have money in them for birthdays, anniversaries and so on and are easy to spot by the light-fingered brigade.

Does the cafe have a web site?you should post a very good comment about the service.
