Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 09 Apr 2022, 05:51

Good morning.

Forecast 26C. Summer is here. 8-)

Jackie and I are off for a walk which will end up with us having breakfast in the plaza. :D

Home for the sun queen to park herself on a lounger soaking up the sun.
I'll be the one in the shade of a palm tree.

Tonight the three of us are going to the Chinese restaurant being treated by our guest. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning all, it’s a sunny and frosty one here.

I’ve been back an hour from mine and Bill’s walk. John likes a lie in on the weekend seeing as he’s up before 6 all week so we usually walk Bill mid morning but Royal Mail are delivering a parcel sometime between 7.45 and 11.45 so thought I’d go out early so I could be back in case it comes early. We all know it’ll turn up at 11.44  I enjoyed the walk though, didn’t see a another soul for the hour we were out.

Not sure of the plans today. Tom’s off to York for the weekend with Shannon, I think he’s back either Tuesday or Wednesday. There’s the new tree to plant and we need to take a DVLA form into the BMW dealership at Stafford for the numberplate transfer for John’s new car which he gets at the end of the month. I think while we’re over that way I’ll pop into Hobbycraft.

Have a good day all!

Morning everyone

Grey again  And will be all day, but warm ish at 21C.

Pea and broad bean picking and then podding for me this morning. A wander around the garden this afternoon, weeding. Might pop down the bar, might not.

Mitchell's daughter's funeral is not until 3 May  He's still coming to terms with it - not as hard as he thought he was, he said. Drinking far too much and hardly eating. Par for the course

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

We're up extra early, expecting Z,M and the boys this morning. Looks like a perfect day for them, they'll probably go for a walk along the seafront down to the harbour. We'll get the bus and meet them down there for lunch, probably at the Royal Pavilion (spoons), they have more choice for vegans. It was easier when Z was a vegetarian, much trickier now.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s nice and sunny here but still chilly. We were up early as my brother was getting a train into town at 9.15 to go to one of the main rail stations for a train to Athlone, where he will stay with a friend for a couple of nights. Then the friend and his wife are returning to Dublin, so they will bring B back with them so he can get a train home to Cork - there is no direct train Athlone/Cork. All this train travel is on his OAP free travel pass. He’s not doing too bad for 78!

So we are up earlier than usual. I know Edward has plenty of tv sport lined up, culminating in golf from America tonight, where one of our Irish players, Shane Lowry, is well placed at the moment. I “might” do some ironing…….then again I might not

Afternoon everyone :)

It's been a beautifully sunny day, but absolutely freezing  There was frost first thing! B and I went to the SW meeting - both had small losses - then we all went to Corretto's for breakfast  Mick and I went to D's afterwards, but B was meeting her friend H in town. We're home now.

Saundra, I hope Scarlett has a mild case (((((x))))) My friend Emma tested positive yesterday, her daughter had it first, then her husband! I last saw Em on Monday, so hopefully before she was infectious. Loads of people here seem to be getting it, but on the whole only the unvaccinated are getting really poorly.....

Love to all xxx

Work for me this morning, where I discovered another 2 staff members have Covid :( One has just returned from Spain on Tuesday...I was on my own with boss and a clinic, but I think I managed ok. This aftie I went to collect my sister and we went for a coffee and a catch up at the local garden centre, not seen her for 6 weeks so lots to talk about, not long been back. It's sunny now but has been grey much of the day.

Sorry to hear Scarlett has it Saundra.....Lily has a sore throat but she's negative, she's got tonsillitis again, bless her. Have to admit at the Easter service yesterday I was very aware of the many people in the church room and the whole school of children
