A man pleads guilty to sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in 2011. He followed the girl from a bus stop and took her to a housing estate where he threatened her, stuffed a school tie in her mouth and sexually assaulted her. He gets a 10 month detention and training, order but is not registered as a sex offender.

In May 2012, he appears before magistrates accused of having 600 indecent images of children on his MP4 player.

In September he pleads guilty to an offence of making an indecent photograph of a child, and is given a community sentence.

He has now been found guilty of dragging an 11 yr-old girl into Jubilee Park, Enfield, before raping her in a three hour ordeal.

Why wasn't he put away for a long time for the first offence? Why did the bleeding hearts give him the rope to carry on?

Possibly because he was only 16 at the time of the first offence?
Let's hope he gets put away for a long time this time.

The biggest issue I have with this is that they are so inconsistent. If a crime is a crime then you punish it the same way.

I watched the infamous Graham family rack up 75 children's panel appearances and nothing was done. The father, a drug dealer, was allowed home because "his boys needed him". What to learn how to deal drugs?

Eventually one of the sons with a friend stole a car and crashed it into a nurse on Christmas eve. They left her on the road, bleeding and dying. Miraculously she survived due to the cold but she lost her leg.

That was finally too much, the family was evicted and sent north of Aberdeen. Where the local mafia killed them off one by one over the years. Only the wife and the girls survive now. A case of the courts failing miserably and society cleaning up the mess.

I'm all for society cleaning up this kind of mess......

I hate to repeat the fact that "The Law is an Ass"... There is no law and order.
These offenders should be PUNISHED severely and I mean Punished.. Where sexual offences have been committed against children whatever the age of the offender CASTRATION and a long uncomfortable prison sentence.. Bread and Water for a few months not the choice of menu, No Sky TV in their cells, no porn films (that are their right) no pool room or keep fit classes. Bloody prison sentences are a doddle. When these individuals are foreign legal or illegal We Are Unable To Deport Them

Time for a clean up.. How can the Law Defend these sub human animals?

Putting him on the sex offenders register wouldn't have made any difference though, but I agree he should not have been walking the streets and able to reoffend

Nobody who presents such a proven danger to children should be walking the streets :(

So why give him a second and third opportunity to carry on?

The people who do not lock these people up after the first offence are as guilty as the perpetrator for any subsequent offences and should also be jailed. If that happened we might have fewer repeat offenders.
