Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 27 Feb 2022, 07:08

Good morning.

Sunshine and forecast 21C.
We've had not a drop of any promised showers.

Doing a coastal walk with Don this morning. :D

Bought a chunky  chicken for dinner later.

And talking of later....wooo hooo. Peaky Blinders is back. :D
DOI before that guarantees I'll be sofa bound tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Rather foggy this morning, can't even see our field  Should be sunny and warm later.

Will get on the garden later, if/when the fog lifts and do some weeding, Sun and rain make weeds grow pretty quick

BBQ for us later this afternoon, probably after the rugby.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody,
Lots of blue sky with a few fluffy clouds.
Ally, please send some of your warm sunshine. My CH boiler has packed in. The gas engineer came back yesterday to fit a new gasket on the
burner plate. After it was fired up the readings were high. So he fitted a second gasket but there was no change. He could not get the
readings down to acceptable levels. One of them is carbon monopxide which is odourless.
He said I would have to stop using the boiler. He has put a blanking washer on the outlet from the gas meter so I cannot use any gas.
The boiler was installed when we had the extension built 35 years ago so it has given good service.
It may be twe weeks before I can have a new one installed. It will be a combi.
Fortunately I have an immersion heater so i can have hot water. And I have been lent a convector heater to keep warm at night.
So I will be doing a lot of housework to keep active and warm.

Have a good day eveybody

Morning all, it’s sunny but chilly here.

We’re off for a walk shortly and then just having a lazy day.

Yesterday’s journey was long. We’re just 70 miles away but because of the M6 being closed due to a tragic accident we had to detour. We left home at 11.30 and got to our seats just as the teams were lining up before kick off at 3. Still, we saw some beautiful Staffordshire countryside, lots of dry stone walls and plenty of lambs
Coming home, we were out of the stadium and back in the car at 5.05 and pulling up at the chippy near home at 6.30.

What a nuisance Cruiser, 35 years is good though!

Kaz, great news for you and Mick! :Hi:

Have a good day all :D

Morning all, it’s another dull windy day here and we are having a lazy one (even lazier than usual ;) ) Edward is cooking off some veg for the freezer and I “might” iron the clean bedding with a view to changing it tomorrow. Glad you had a nice drive, Jo, hope it made up for the match, there was swearing and cushion throwing here. He’ll be watching rugby today, I have crochet to work on and I could start a new jigsaw.

Kaz, I’m delighted for you and Mick, a new life awaits!

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

A coastal walk sounds lovely Ally.
Don't overdo it in the garden Jan, a BBQ sounds yummy.
How annoying about the boiler Cruiser, but 35yrs is very good.
Glad you had a good time yesterday Jo.
Good luck with the duvet fight Saundra.
Retirement is brilliant Kaz, we don't know how we ever managed getting up for work all those years.

Another nice lie in, just had a bowl of porridge, toast and marmalade to come. That will keep us going nicely until dinner around 6ish. Usual rotisserie chicken and veg followed by strawberry blancmange with blackcurrant jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all :)

Thanks very much, everyone :D xxx

Cruiser, make sure you stay well wrapped up and warm! xx

See you later Al, for DOI :) xx

Enjoy your barbecue Jan :) xx

Glad you enjoyed taking the pretty route yesterday Jo :D ;) xx

Saundra, they're a battle, aren't they? :cute: xx

Enjoy your lazy day Osc :) xx

Jen, I think we'll soon get used to retirement too :D xx

We had a slightly later start, out to Corretto's sitting outside in the sunshine :) It's a beautiful day, and fairly warm at about 12 or 13° 8-) We went to D's after that, then home. I was going to make a chicken roast, but as we had some very nice butcher's sausage and bacon the vote was for an an all-day breakfast, which we had about half an hour ago  Well they did, but I had a spinach and mushroom omelette :D I need to do my nails, so will do them later, before DOI.

Love to all xxx
