Afternoon all :)

Enjoy the barbecue Ally :) xx

Did you mean the new vacuum, Jan! ;) xx

I don't think we had frost over here Ria  I suppose it is getting time to start on your allotment :D xx

Enjoy the footie, Jo, and I hope the journey went ok xx

Osc  xx

Sensible to get new taps Cruiser xx

That all sounds delicious Crommers! 8-) Great news about the walking :) xx

A lie in on a Saturday sounds good to me Jen! We get up so early - maybe once Mick retires we'll take it more easily :) xx

And that's my big news! Mick had his official offer of an enhanced redundancy package yesterday :Hi: Unofficially it was agreed weeks back, but now it's come through in writing. So from the 1st of September he'll be retired 8-) :ugeek: :D

B went to SW, lost another 2lbs :D I gave it a miss as I had a stinking headache first thing, but it has gone by the time B got back. We dropped H at work, then went to Corretto's for brunch. Round to D's after that, as per, then home via Sainsbury's. I picked up some sprouting narcissi - my bulbs have not performed well, so the pots need filling in a bit ;)

Love to all :) xx

Good news for Mick then Kaz? Is he looking forward to retiring?

Very much so Crommers, it was his choice to apply for the redundancy :D :Hi: He's not 63 until November, so we're both three years off SPA, but he's had enough. Especially as both his younger brothers - one a police inspector, the other a paramedic - have retired before him  :cute:

Thanks Ally, and Saundra :D xx

I can already see him poring over the Sheds 'r Us and Shed World brochures whilst searching for sheds on t'Interweb. And when you are out shopping he will now be seeing things with that "Hmm, I wonder if it will fit in my shed" look.

"Mick! Put that camping cooker and tiny kettle down, we need asparagus, mange tout and Brie - chop, chop."

 He's got a shed, and I'm compiling a list of decorating and DIY tasks to keep him out of mischief :P ;) Actually he's planning on getting back into his drawing and painting, and we're both looking forward to spending more time together :)

Oh, brilliant news for Mick and you xx

Yes, new Bosch vacuum cleaner Kaz  Was a little weird to begin with, as the bottom bit moved before I was ready for it   And it twists around too, but very pleased wit h it. Sad person that I am  8-)

Grumpy was watching the rugby, I was sat at the back reading when we were told we had to meet friends down at the bar. So off we went, if Jan tells you to do something, you go  and we had a lovely late afternoon/early drink with about eight of us 8-)

Cold now, so fire lit. We had smidge of rain this afternoon and that was it  Worried about this year now and our water level, as it is our own water.

Ooh, a decorated shed. That's posh. A chaise longue, wine cooler and perhaps a chandelier at one end. An easel in the corner at the other where he paints the young lady with the ostrich feather fan as she leans back. 8-)
