Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 24 Feb 2022, 06:19

Good morning.

A slightly cooler 22C today...perhaps getting ready for tomorrow's showers. Which have gone from an 80% chance to 40%.
Must Google how to rain dance.

Off for my walk shortly. I'm kinda glad February is a short month given my self inflicted 100 squats a day challenge.

Hubby fancies going out for lunch and will get no resistance from me.

GB Menu tonight and The Apprentice. I'm not sure if it's meant to be funny but boy does it make me laugh out loud.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Very grey and the sky is a funny colour, still waiting for the rain  Cooler too.

Off to Ourique after breakfast, need money, pay the car tax, hopefully, and see Fatima hopefully. Grumpy needs some lightweight trousers, so we'll pop into the Chinese for a look.

Back to read. Nothing to do outside when it's cold and hopefully wet.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Merry morning you two, and same to everyone else

Fingers crossed you get the rain Ally. And as for lunch - well what can I say; choose your battles and take the path of least resistance
Jan, hope you get all your bits and bobs sorted

Well woke up to wet and wild weather; I'm done with it - so beyond ready for warm sunshine and no wind. I think February is the bleakest month for me just because at this point I've had enough and just want to get outside and potter about in the garden / at the allotment.

I had an early start this morning; wanted to get to Sainsbury's and back before 8.30 but didn't factor in my petrol light coming on last night on my way home which meant needing to find petrol before coming home. I was planning on filling up at Sainsbury's but they were closed with two large tankers taking up the forecourt so I went to the next closest.... £1.52 per litre  :( :( and it's just going to get worse. And putting in petrol delayed me by just those 10 minutes that resulted in my getting stuck in two school run queues.... it's really not a nice morning so understand that most kids are being driven but just wish the parents would have some consideration when they decide to park in the most daft spot to offload their sprogs. so basically I got home 20 minutes later than planned - oh well.

So now going to treat myself to poached eggs with baked beans on toast and a cuppa and with that the world will once more be just fine :D :D :D *but need to sort the chickens first - they're being so incredibly loud at the moment it's embarrassing!

have a lovely day all, stay warm and dry xxx

Morning all, it’s a sunny morning here but cold and there is snow in other parts of the country. We are going to dance practice this morning and as we don’t have the children today because it us mid term and they are doing stuff, we’ll go shopping. I’m still trying to sort out yesterday’s supermarket shop mess up when we were given a tray of someone else’s order - online chat and two phone calls and we are no further along  I’m expecting a phone call within an hour, but we’ll be out after that and I don’t really like taking phone calls in the car. In the meantime, we have goods belonging to someone else including perishable items.

Good morning everyone.

It is nondescript here. Broken clouds with no rain and hardly any breeze, but cold, very cold.

I will catch up on the charity shop runs I was going to do yesterday then it's an easy day.

Enjoy whatever it is you intend to do. xx

Good morning.
Poor weather here. We've just had ten minutes of rain / sleet / snow coming down thick and fast but now it is blue sky, sunny and cold.
We do have a bit of shopping to do and once that's done I think staying in is the order of the day.
I know what you mean Ria, it seems to have been a long winter.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Very wet here

My tummy was playing up yesterday, no idea why, so as well as keeping an eye on the weather will see how I feel after brekkie before deciding if we'll be popping out to M&S for a few bits.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning everybody.
We have had rain, snow, hailstones and now sunshine and it is stillnot noon.
Have been to Asda and Tesco looking at Kettles.
Finally decided on a Russell Hobbs Honeycomb in white. It blends in nicely with the kitchen. A bit loud but I am usually doing something
else while it is boiling.
Now going to have some lunch and then some more housework.
Ria, I know what you mean about winter. My back garden wants weeding and the grass is getting very long.
Have a good day everybody

Afternoon all, we’ve had a sunny morning but it’s just gone so very dark and the heavy snow which was forecast for 9am has just started.

I walked Bill and then went to Stafford, got myself a couple of long sleeved t shirts from M&S and went to Aldi, oh and I bought a couple of lovely thick woolly hats from Primark, one a deep green and the other a dusky pink and just £1 each!

Think I’ll watch a bit of TV and crochet now.

Have a good day all x
