Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another lovely day here too. A balmy 24C later 8-)

Ironing for me this morning, although I'm doing another wash at the moment, whatever is in there for ironing can wait

Once the ironing is out of the way, Grumpy and I will be taking off the covering off the fruit trees and other delicate plants. The nights are warming up a little now, so the threat of frost has gone.

Leftovers again tonight, from the roast pork, so will have bubble and squeak with it.

Enjoying it too Ally, the standard, mostly, has been very high.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning both.
The weather is consistent here too. It is grey, windy and raining.
Or is that raining, grey and windy?
Eliza is here. MrsC and the child will be making buns later.
Have a good day all.

Merry morning all

Vic and Crommers, your posts made me laugh because that's exactly what it's like here and exactly how I reacted :D :D :D
Ally enjoy your outing
Ooh, Jan, bubble and squeak sounds delicious - yum!

Today I switched off the track and trace on my NHS Covid app thing. I've been pinged twice in 4 days again and both times the advice was no need to self isolate because I'm fully vaccinated and just to do regular lateral flows at home, which I do anyway - so what's the point of having it on ;-)

Another usual / usual for me today so nothing exciting to report

have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all, it’s sunnyish here but still stormy with passing blustery showers. Mostly h/worky stuff today and I might enter our details on to the Cunard website for our cruise at the end of next month. Also crochet to be done. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away.

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast, think we could be in for some showers

Enjoy your afternoon Ally.
Bubble and squeak Jan, yummy, we have it most Mondays with left over chicken.
Eliza will love making buns with MrsC Crommers, I have very fond memories of making jam tarts with my Grandmother.
I've turned the track and trace off too Ria.

Finally caught up with Call the Midwife yesterday afternoon. What a season finale, very emotional, I shed a few tears. It's Peaky Blinders next Sunday, completely different, but totally addictive, already feeling anxious as it's the final season. Not too long to wait for Killing Eve either.

We're off to the cinema this afternoon to see Death on the Nile, looking forward to it, seems ages since we've been. Afterwards we'll walk round to the Toby carvery, always nice not coming back home and having to cook dinner 8-)

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s sunny here after rain mid morning.

Me and Bill managed a good long walk first thing before the rain started though. Since then I’ve been checking down the back of the sofa for pennies, and doing lots of sums. Bill’s vet is referring him to a specialist in Derby with the plan to remove his cataracts. His insurance will cover some of it and thankfully he has a new year starting on his policy in a couple of weeks so starts with a fresh slate with regard to the amount which can be claimed for the next year. I’ve got to take a claims form into the vets later for everything since his diagnosis so I’ve had to fill that out too, I’ve held fire until today because he had a blood test on Friday and I wanted to wait for the results in case it led to anything else but the vet phoned yesterday evening and all’s good.

I’ve been doing a big weekly catch up on Great British Menu, there’s been some great dishes so far. I’d love to be able to try them.

Saundra, I’m doing my best!

Have a good day all :D
