Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 21 Feb 2022, 07:10

Good morning.

24C forecast so I'm getting my walk done early. 8-)

I've just started reading a book that's got me gripped so I think I'll be lazy on the sun lounger and get stuck in to it.

Have a great day.

Morning Al and all, it’s very windy here but at least the rain has stopped for now.

I’ve not walked Bill yet, we have to walk by too many large and old trees which isn’t a good idea in this weather. The wind’s supposed to be dropping this afternoon so I’ll take him then.

John’s gone to Oxford on a site visit, Joe’s in work all week with it being half term and no college and Tom’s home and not speaking to me. He was making pasta yesterday evening when he got home from Shannon’s, had left it unattended and it was boiling over when I went into the kitchen to make coffee so I turned the gas down. I checked and double checked that there was still a flame underneath (because I knew I’d get it in the neck if his pasta wasn’t cooking) and there most definitely was but he reckoned it’d gone out when he came back to it so there was an argument and he’s not spoken since.

Have a good day all xx

Morning Ally, Jo and everyone

~Sunny start with just a few wispy white clouds around. And no wind 8-)

Hayfever season has started  with a vengeance, so I'l walking around with packets of tissues in my pockets  Saw some friends who have bees on Saturday and they're going to leave a jar of their honey down at the bar for me, so that should help.

Will do some more weeding, for as long as my back lets me later this morning, Wait for it to warm up a little.

leftover curry for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, we’re up and have had breakfast, and are giving the rush hour traffic time to ease before we head home. The sun is out but it is still very windy. We’ve had a really lovely weekend break, we weren’t aware we needed it! Yesterday’s dance was brilliant, so much fun and we danced almost every dance - no wonder my right hip is complaining  First afternoon of full on dancing in two years. We were at a table for four and an elderly lady (I’d say she might have been 80 or more) came and sat down with us. She was telling us that her husband had died within the last year and this was her first time out on her own, she didn’t want to dance, just wanted to sit and listen to the music and watch the dancing. She enjoyed her tea and biscuits, and was thrilled to win a bottle of wine in the raffle.

My brother came and joined us for a meal yesterday evening, very pleasant and relaxed. We were asleep by 10.15!! Right, better close the bags, check out and get on the road.

Morning all :)

Ally, that sounds perfect :) xx

Blimey Jo  You could hardly let it boil over, could you? :cute: B has sulked all weekend after a perceived slight from Mick  It gets on my nerves as I don't like sulking, I prefer to get things talked through, and clear the air! Hope it sorts itself out ((x))

Hayfever already, Jan? Yikes! The local honey should help :) xxx

Well I usually meet my friend Em in town on Mondays, but it's terribly windy here today so I think I'll stay in. We're "only" under a yellow warning, but it seems windier than Eunice here today to me :? Will see if it subsides at all over the next couple of hours.

Take care everyone xxx

Morning all :D

Dry, but very windy

We looked out of the window and it didn't take long to decide to stay in, just staying upright would be difficult, not much fun. Expecting a Tesco delivery between 1-2pm, they're sending receipts via e-mail now and there are a few items missing, unusual for them. Luckily nothing too important.

Hope you all have a good day xx
