Going for a quick run then back to make crock pots of steak pies with puff pastry on top.
Along with onion mash (thanks Di ) that's what we're having for an early tea tonight as mum and dad are coming over for the day.

As Not Going Out is on tonight I'm not going out.

It's lovely here Bright with some bits of blue sky - and some dark clouds, but I'm glaring at them Towels are in washing so it would be nice if they could dry outside.
Up nice and early as Tesco are bringing us some wine, between 7am and 7pm - free delivery lol, can't specify!

Mmmm yum Ally, that sounds a nice meal, hope the onion mash goes down well I was looking at a Times 'pies' pullout from the other week, the one I fancy is mushroom stroganoff, in round pots with puff pastry on top Won't be making them today, we'll have youngest and I don't think it's the sort of thing he'd be keen on. He'd eat it, but I try to do meals we know he likes since it's only usually two a fortnight

I guess I'll be phoning the vet again once they open, so the rest of the day will depend on that

Bit stunned as I've just this second seen on BBC Breakfast that they've arrested Rolf Harris, and are questioning him about sexual offences

Morning all. Its lovely here too.

Its a day of pottering for me. This morning I am going to make a chicken casserole and some chocolate brownies and have a quick run round with the hoover. Then I am going to polish James.

I have two friends coming for coffee this afternoon and to have a look at the kitchen - they haven't seen it yet.

I want to try and pack a few more bits away from the dining room too. I was going to start sugar soaping this weekend but Mick is going to set his workbench up in there tonight to start cutting the cornices for the top of the cupboards (to be honest - I'm not sure if I want them on. I need to see what they look like before he cuts them - I like how the kitchen looks as it is!). Its not worth cleaning the dining room until he has finished any dusty jobs and I can't start painting until I have sugar soaped so I'm a bit stuck at the moment.

Hope all goes well for Minnie Di - will check in later.

Debih I tend to not like anything 'extra' on units and things, but am sometimes proved wrong, so yes, best to be open-minded

I sort of finishe my dress last night, but i'm unhappy with the fit around the neck, so i will have to alter it

Many thanks for my birthday wishes. A beautiful bouquet of flowers from youngest daughter and the boys arrived earlier

We're off out for lunch with my aunt and uncle. It's their birthday treat birthday for me, but then I had a call from my aunt yesterday afternoon asking to be taken to carpetright afterwards so she can look for a new hall runner Don't misunderstand, I'm quite happy to take them, but today reeeeally

Not surprised at the news about Rolf Harris, it's been all over the web for the last few weeks. Sad if it's true though
