Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 14 Feb 2022, 07:09

Good morning.

Looks lovely out there and forecast 21C. 8-)

Off for my walk shortly.

We're picking Conor up at the airport at 2.30. He's told me he has a bag of goodies for me.

Going out for dinner tonight. My choice so I'm choosing Thai.

Have a great day.

Happy Valentine's Day. :cute:

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another lovely morning, makes up for yesterday. cool start, but will be warm later.

Washing out, will soon dry and I'll do the ironing tomorrow.

This morning, I want to weed the path near the field. Normally, we'd put weed killer on it, but the sheep do like to stick their heads through the fence and eat the grass on the path, so rather than kill them off, I'll have to weed it

Pork tenderloin for dinner, with garlic mushrooms, steamed veg and some sort of potato dish. And a very nice wine, reduced from 9.99 to 2.49  And it's a reserva too. Had it before, very palatable 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning everyone :) Happy Valentine's day :)

Ooh nice one Conor :D  Have a lovely day Ally :D xx

That some was a bargain Jan! 8-) xx

Mick has this week off, to use up leave, so is coming out with me today 8-) :D Harry has a driving lesson - his test is only three weeks away :geek: :) Becky is off too, as her new job doesn't start until the 28th. Mick has bought me a lovely bunch of roses, but had a disaster with my card - firstly the plastic water bag round the roses leaked on it, then when I had a good look at the (soggy) card it said husband on it! :P    Still, it's given us a good laugh

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Oh dear Kaz

We don't bother, haven't for years.

I'm waiting for confirmation from our town hall that we can have a fire tomorrow morning. Everything is so dry, so need permission even this early in the year.

Good morning.
A nice bargain there Jan.
Kaz, that did make me smile!
That is a perfect temperature Ally.
This morning we are taking MrsC's Uncle Jim to see his sister in her Pontefract care home.
This afternoon we are having a run to the tip, and that's about it.
Grey and damp outside.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s bright and dry here but cold. Edward and his pal are out on our terrace fixing spikes to the parapet above it to try and deter seagulls from leaving deposits all over the washing - they nest on the the parapet, so they want to get the spikes in place before nesting season starts. Edward is not great on ladders and was delighted when his pal offered to help. The car started making a clanking noise yesterday (possibly loose exhaust :? ) and I have phoned the garage, I’ll pop it down to them tomorrow. I’ve also been on to Cunard with a query about our cruise - question asked and answered, so that is another job off my list. I want to write a card to a young woman who works in the local post office, she has been diagnosed with breast cancer, I’ll do that and drop it in the post box on my way to the gym in a while. I’ll let the rest of the day just happen!

Morning all :D

Bright sunshine here 8-)

Oh dear Kaz, it made me smile too.

We're staggering round to The Greyhound for a late lunch to celebrate, we looked at all the special meal deals for today, but E decided it would be a much nicer treat not having to cook. I didn't need much persuasion

Have a lovely Valentine's Day xx

13 boyfriends  8-)

Was a blowy morning and the north wind was so cold, I didn't realise I'd cut my hand on the fence. Blood stopped weeding

But later this afternoon, we sat at the front of the house, in the sun and it was sheer bliss 8-)

Got permission to have a bonfire tomorrow (think last nights rain helped) so that's Grumpy's job tomorrow.

Looking forward to dinner :D
