Thank you all for your kind comments. We are really looking forward to a break, even if we have to stay in and read - or watch the snooker on TV. I'm going to attempt to load up some books on to my new Kindle this morning.

We are staying in a little village called Chelmarsh, at the side of a boating lake south of Bridgnorth. We are planning visits to Bridgnorth, Ironbridge, Areley Aboretum, Bewdley, and Wyre Forest. We've been to those places before, but they are all worth another visit.

'Bye for now. :)

Aggers,
Hope you have a wonderful holiday. Did my square bashing at RAF Bridgenorth, many years ago. Will try to send you some warm weather. We are off to the Caribbean on Saturday. Will be missing for a couple of weeks. Will try to post from the ship when we are sailing back across the Atlantic.

I was expecting you to continue with "in apple blossom time" tra la la...... :D

Enjoy Shropshire and the technological rest, and if you're lucky there might be a hint of apple blossom..... if the weather continues to improve.

Pah! Pedants!

I prefer my mind's version...... and the Andrews Sisters were much better looking than Sinatra or Bubble. :P
