Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 24 Jan 2022, 07:47

Good morning.

Forecast 17 degrees with broken sunshine and showers due this evening. We've had very little rain since April so wet stuff will be very welcome.

Off for my walk soon.

We need to go food shopping and get petrol and gas.

TV tonight.....Only Connect final. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning all, not a bad morning here, although rather cold. Edward has gone to play golf and I’ll be going to the gym in a while - I need to drop something up to Miss Osc’s office before that. Then back to face the ironing this afternoon :?

What a morning!

Last month I had a huge argument with Scottish Power about my gas bill. I made a reading and then an online payment within twelve hours of the reading request at 7:11 PM. Six minutes later I got a threatening email saying that the bill should now be paid immediately or recovery action could be taken - I had just paid the damned thing.

I ended up being paid £125 in compensation.

It happened again over the weekend. I paid on Friday and woke up this morning to two threatening emails timed at 6:38 and 6:39 AM. It has taken over two hours to get a file and complaint started. Talk about angry.

On the plus side I am just off to the bank to deposit their cheque.

It's dull grey and damp out but the forecast is for sun this afternoon.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast here

17C sounds a lot warmer than here Ally, wish you could send some of it our way.

I'd be finding a cupboard to hide it in Osc

I've noticed prices going up too Saundra. You are entitled to register as a priority customer with Tesco, no problem getting slots when you do that. At the start of the pandemic Sainsbury's actually contacted me to say I was on the list, Tesco took a bit longer, but it does work. I have weekly slots with Tesco booked right through to mid Feb, they can be amended/cancelled right up to the night before delivery. I do pay for the delivery saver which also helps. There is a minimum spend of £40, not a problem for the two of us.

How did you get on with the new tv Crommers?

We slept in again, not much happening, expecting a Tesco delivery between 1-2pm and that's our excitement for the day.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon everyone.
Very cold here and very grey. We have done a tip run and been to visit MrsC's Auntie Violet in her care home. It is a monochrome sort of day. The sky, grass, fields all seem grey with no colour in them. Never mind it will soon be spring.
Saundra and Jen, assembly of the new tv was outsourced to son and his gf!
It is working fine. The picture is very good apart from for football matches, for some reason. Gemma thinks it is because our BT box is an old one and we may need to upgrade it. I remember the first tv we had when I was a nipper.
It was a Murphy and the most complicated part on it was the flip up flap that covered the controls on the top!
Have a good day all.

Hello all :)

It's a gloomy day here, grey and cold. Been to town to meet Em for lunch, then walked home via D's. I ran the vac round first, and put some washing on. Harry is working this afternoon. I have Zumba tonight.

Ally I hope you get the rain you need xx

Hi Osc :) xx

Saundra my food bills are sky-rocketing :cute: I'm considering changing from Sainsbury's to somewhere cheaper xx

Frank that's infuriating!!  Hope it all gets sorted xx

That's good about the delivery slots Jen! 8-) xx

G is probably right about the BT box, Crommers  :geek: I can remember my mum and dad's old B&W when I was growing up, it had a slot for money in the back, as it was rented  xx

Love to all xxx
