I wish 16c was our winter week!
Good morning Ally and everyone.
Cold and chilly here, the skies are grey.
We have had our new tv delivered. It's so big it needs two people to lift it out of the box. I hope we haven't made a mistake here.
Son and his gf are coming round for dinner later on so he and I will lug it out then.
It has YouTube loaded onto it, which will be a bonus.
Have a nice day all.

Morning all, it’s cold and grey here. We were amazed when the doorbell rang just before and it was the postman  He had printer ink for us, he was doing overtime delivering antigen tests and clearing the parcel backlog - he was happy enough as he is getting good overtime rates. We’ve watched our weekly country music show from Nashville and now Edward is watching golf from Abu Dhabi. No plan at all for the day although we will probably have another holiday booked by the end of the day, just waiting confirmation of a dance weekend planned for around the same time in September which we don’t want to miss.

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast here

What tv did you buy Crommers? We keep thinking about updating ours, but they're so big and I'm not sure how it would look in our small lounge. Good luck with setting it up, sensible to wait for some help.

It's a lazy day for us, just having brekkie/lunch. It's rotisserie chicken with veggies for dinner later followed by vanilla blancmange with lemon and lime jelly.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon everyone.

It is a nothing day here: cool but not cold; next to no wind; and a flat light grey cloud blanket that is thick enough to keep the sun from making a bright patch.

I was going round to see Lyra after her dad had recovered from the Covid he caught two weeks ago only to find that mum tested positive on Thursday. She will not have caught it from Michael as his was over and done with so the thinking is that she caught it at the nursery she is currently working at. Everyone is fine so that's a good thing.

The farmers' market is also off. It is held by the river in what was once the old livestock market but the local bird flu scare has put a stop to that.

I wonder what the third thing will be!

Cromwell my TV is a Samsung. If I turn it 'off' off for a while, say when on holiday, when it comes back on I just select 'Auto' from the menu and let it get on with things.

Take care and stay safe.

Afternoon everyone :)

It's not a bad day here, neither wet nor too cold. We've just had a late lunch, B made her pasta with a tomato & bacon sauce - great, as the bacon was on its last legs  - and I had the last of the fresh veggie soup I made on Friday, with some baguette and cheese as I'm not wild about pasta and can't eat bacon   There's some choc ice cream in the freezer if anyone fancies it later.

Mick and H are just going over some IT stuff, and will be going out for some driving practice shortly. M will probably go to the gym afterwards. Looking forward to DoI later, then Call The Midwife :D

Frank, I hope Lyra's mummy will be better soon xx

Ally, that made me giggle! Wrap up well :P  ;) xxx

Crommers you soon get used to a bigger telly, I was dubious when we first got ours xx

Saundra, I need to do ours later, as I stripped the bed off first thing, and got it in the wash xx

Enjoy doing not a lot today Osc 8-) :D xx

You too, Jen :) xx

Love to all xxx
