Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 12 Jan 2022, 07:10

Good morning.

Light showers forecast between 6am and noon but it's 8am and still no sign. We could really, really do with some. :?

Sunshine forecast for this afternoon which is handy as I'm meeting two friends for lunch outside at Gambrinus. :D

I'll do my walk first though. Day 12 and I've resisted running.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Stunning sunrise this morning, which means no fog 8-) Should be a lovely, warm day.

Off to Beja in an hour or so, hopefully wont have too long a wait, Think they block book five people in at the same time  and whoever gets there first gets seen first  And we're supposed to be there 15 minuted beforehand, to get booked in. And it can take that and more sometimes  Hope that's the last night I need to see her.

Will stop at Lidl's on the way back again, more cheese  and then do the Pingo run.

Back to actually have lunch, which is not something we normally do,. But I have leftovers from last night, and it's just as good cold, so will have that with some nice bread.

If the bar is functioning, we'll stop for a coffee on the way/way back.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

Dull but dry and no rain forecast.
As I have said I volunteerr to help at one of the local vaccination centres. Went on Monday morning. It opened at 9.00 a.m. Normally
there is a queue of people mwaiting to come in. Only a few on Monday. There wer then periods of severaal minutes with no-one
coming in. So at 10.30 a.m the manager who was in charge decided that some of the volunteers could go home as we had nothing to do.
So home I came and had a coffee.
This morning I am going to Tesco, sending a parcel to grand-daughter, and making two other calls.
If the weather stays dry may weed the front garden after the frost has gone.
Have a good day everybody.

Afternoon all, it’s a nice day here. I’ve been busy doing bits and pieces all morning - had a couple of emails to send, a phone call to ask why the car insurance disc hasn’t arrived, did some ironing. Now I just need to change the bed and put on the freshly ironed sheets. Just watched Boris on PMQ, if that had happened here our prime minister would be gone.  He is just totally shameless.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Hope everything goes well at the hospital Jan xx

Well we did plan to drive to the shops in town this morning, but as we didn't actually surface until 11am the morning has pretty much disappeared  I'm expecting my prescription items to arrive sometime between 1-3pm so I doubt we'll be going anywhere today. Will probably do a bit of pottering and then collapse on the sofa until it's time to make dinner.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Such a waste of my time :cute: :cute:

Got there at 10.00, appointment was for 10.15, sat and waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Was getting rather fed up that people who had come in an hour after me had gone straight in  :o

And then I waited some more.

I checked with one of the nurses, to make sure, after all the time and day changes that I really was meant to be t here. Just wait, she said :!:

Eventually got called in at 11.40 and I was out by 11.45 :cute: :cute:

Have to go back in October. Not looking forward to it already.

Neither is Grumpy

Afternoon everyone :)

I hope you get that rain soon Ally xx

Jan, at least it's over now until October xx

I think the long queues are over now Cruiser, at least until the next booster xx

It does seem to affect people differently Saundra. Mick's been totally fine after all three :geek: xx

Osc, shameless is the very least of it Osc  :( xx

Hope the prescriptions turn up on time Jen xx

Harry and I have been to town, he wanted a haircut. I met my friend J for a cuppa. We popped in to D's on the way home. Not long been in, just having a cuppa with my feet up. There is a Zumba a tonight but I shan't go, I've done well over 14k steps already. Washing is in the dryer, fish and chips for dinner tonight.

Love to all :) xx

Afternoon all, it’s been a beautiful day here today and we’re just about to be treated to a glorious sunset by the looks of things.

Tom’s car’s been in for an inspection on the gearbox today. It needs work doing but Renault are going to discount the cost as it shouldn’t have failed so soon. However, they can’t do it until the 31st and have advised him not to drive it if he can help it until then. He has around a 40 mile round trip every day. I’ve just looked at the cost of hiring a car but he’s under 25, he typically turns 25 a week after the car is repaired, and it’d be cheaper to buy an old used car - it’s £1100 to hire a VW Polo for 12 days, that’s the cheapest! John’s wondering if they drive down to Cardiff at the weekend and borrow his Mom’s car, she doesn’t drive very much now. It’s the only solution we can really think of. John can drive him into work some days but not all.

Have a good day all :D

Oh what a nuisance, Jo! :? :( It does sound as though borrowing his grandmother is the best option, as those hire charges are really high!
