Morning Ally, morning all

enjoy the walk Ally; and your chicken dinner this evening. I had my hair cut shortly before Christmas and probably won't have it cut again until end Feb if not even a bit later :D

Vet appointment a bit later this morning and then nails for me this afternoon, and the usual work in between :D

Crommers, Saundra and Frank - was reading through your comments on yesterdays good morning thread; saying how the youngsters got Covid but not you 'oldies' etc.... Both Nadine and I are quite convinced there is a link to the BCG vaccination which you all would have had, but not sure about the 'kids' - don't know when the UK stopped giving it routinely but I know when Thomas and Amelia were born Nadine had to really fight to get it because she knew she'd be having regular trips to SA with the kids and you can't go there without it. Crommers, it would be interesting to know if your kids had the vaccination or not? It would also potentially explain why SA, given its population and more importantly population density and living conditions, has actually not had the death rate one would have expected.

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning everybody

Grey sky but no rain.
Taking the car to have the exhaust marked with smart water. Thi is so it can be identified if it is stolen as it has high value metals in it.
It is a free service and worth having done.
Then going to town to pick up some trousers which I am having shortened.

Have a good day everybody

Morning all.

Cold and damp again in this part of the Universe.

I need to shop and spend some money. Nothing spectacular just fruit and veg, the usual stuff.

Ria, we have all had BCG as it was intended that we would live in Saudi when I worked there but Saddam put an end to that. However, TB is a bacterial infection and not a virus so I am not sure how it fits in with your and Nadine's theory.

Anyway, list made, so I will be off soon once the rush hours are over.

Have a great day all.

Morning all, it’s quite a bright day here. Edward’s golf has been cancelled, so we may go out somewhere, we’ll see. I thoroughly dislike January and find it hard to motivate myself to do anything, so a little trip out today or tomorrow would be good. Tidying around to be done before we decide.

Morning all.
I'm about to run MrsC into Wakefield to shop for some boots, her old ones having just given up the ghost.
Greyish this morning but not too cold. /we may go and buy some local honey later.
Ria, the BCG jab was phased out in the UK by 2005, and there is some evidence that it does protect against other infections, though no one seems to know why. The University of Exeter is holding a trial on this now.

No Ria, our children didn't have the BCG jab.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast, think we're in for some rain this afternoon.

Enjoy your walk Ally. Like Ria my next haircut isn't due till Feb.
Interesting about the BCG Ria, as so many did I had mine when I was at school. All three of my children were done too, not at school, that had been phased out by then, but because my Grandfather and Uncle both had TB so we had a family history.

We had a lie in, didn't surface till gone 1030am  Absolutely no plans for today, intending to be extremely lazy 8-)

Hope you all have a good day xx

The fog eventually cleared and it was a lovely, sunny day. All the washing dried, so that' ironing on Thursday.

We popped down to the bar, thinking it would be nice to sit outside in the sun, but they have building work going on, pipe problems, so Heldar is digging up floors

Jose Felipe came up with eggs, his chickens have had their holiday, he said  and are now laying again, so we'll have a dozen every week again..

Evening everyone :)

Sorry to be tardy, but I was out early until late afternoon and since I’ve been searching for my kindle tablet :? I know it’s here somewhere, but have given up temporarily and am tapping this out painstakingly on my phone :geek:

Ria that’s an interesting hypothesis, like most my age I had the BCG at school. 8-)

It’s been dry here today, thank goodness and the forecast is for colder, brighter weather - much better when you walk as much as I do :)

This screen is too tiny to keep going, off to have another search for that blooming tablet!!!

Love to all xxx
