Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 06 Jan 2022, 07:07

Good morning.

Sunny and a high of 20 degrees. We've got this for the next few days so I'm declaring winter.

Off for my walk shortly then back to scrambled eggs and toast.
Our neighbour handed in a dozen massive eggs yesterday. :D

My determination of not buying more books on my Kindle didn't last long.....I bought another 3 yesterday so lazing and reading are my plans for today.
It's a holiday after all....

Have a great day.

Is it the Three Kings there today Ally? :) Have a good day 8-) xx

It's very frosty here today, cold but I much prefer these colder bright days to the interminable rain we've had lately :cute: It's Thursday, so I'll be going to Sainsbury's with Doreen later. Pilates starts again tonight, I will certainly feel it tomorrow

Take care everyone :) xx

Good morning Ally and Kaz, morning everyone

Happy Three Kings Ally - hope you have a lovely lazy day, enjoy the books :D
Kaz, really frosty here as well and same as you I much prefer these crisp cold clear days to the wet and damp we've had quite a bit of.

Well another usual / usual for me - work mixed with pootling. Pootling today will consist of taking down the christmas stuff; the house will be so bare without it and I've said it before but I really do love my trees when they're up and do miss them. I'll leave a couple of fairly lights up though, January is too dark otherwise ;-)

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning everyone

Sunny but windy this morning, so will feel cold out there.

Had a lie-in this morning, just couldn't be bothered to get up   Normal wake-up at 5.30, then just dozed

Washing machine on - it will certainly blow dry quickly out there  and I'll make a curry for Saturday.

Grumpy is trying to rid the veg plot of either moles or voles. Which ever it is, the little critter is eating our veg from the roots :cute: :cute: We've put
one empty water bottle on a metal rod, but he's still munching away, so he'll cut another couple and hopefully, with this wind, the vibration will drive him away.

Stir fry for dinner, for a change.

Jose Felipe came up yesterday, with eggs and as the roof was still wet, I wouldn't let him get up there. He'll come up on Sunday morning, to sort the leak out.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

The sun's shining brightly here, but I can see frost on my car windows

The house feels bare, all the decs and tree are now out in the garage and like you Ria I'm missing them already.

Our trip to the dentist resulted in both of us needing fillings, next appointment 25 Jan. Now just got to work up the courage to actually have mine done.

We're popping over to M&S for a few bits in an hour or so. Our covid numbers are really high so we won't be hanging around too long, a quick shop then home again. I'll be sure to take my earmuffs, walking back from the dentist yesterday my ears nearly fell off

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning / afternoon all.
Cold here too. A frosty start and it must be freezing now. It has just been trying to snow.
We have picked Eliza up from nursery and she will be sleeping over. Her mum has a congested head from the Covid and no energy. Son in law is back at work, son is still isolating. It's taken all three of them slightly differently.
i have overdone things with the exercising and walking and put myself back. The pain from my unoperated hip was excruciating on Monday and Tuesday and it is still sore now.
The room does seem empty without the decorations. Next December I'm going to get some lights for outside as well.
Good luck at the dentist Jen, you've reminded me that i have an appointment in a couple of weeks. The first for nearly two years!
I hope you get the varmint that's eating your veg Jan!
Have a good day all.

Morning peeps.

Loke Cromwell I woke up to a weather warning on the phone for frost and snow. Just looked at the weather and it is -1 with snow forecast for the next four hours. I think a day in is on the cards.

Got a call from Michael to say he has tested positive for Covid so his lot are isolating. If I can be bothered I'll get a few tests from the ex as she gets them from work - there are none to be had from the local pharmacies - she has loads. We should set up a stall: "Get yer flow tests here, buy two get one free!"

Going to the florist in a while to pick up the flowers then that's me done.

Wrap up warm and get some soup on. xx

Three receptionists off at Becky's work with Covid! B just messaged to tell me - I'm hoping she won't bring it home with her, we need to be really careful with D :? I have plenty of LFTs so she'll take one in the morning.
