Good morning Monday

A place to chat with friends, old and new

Afternoon all, it’s a sunny day here although with a nippy breeze. Edward went off to the golf club for a while and when I had tidied around, and had a WhatsApp chat with a friend, I went for a walk on the pier. On the way back, I met a local lady who I know loves to read, so I asked her to come in and look through a bag of books I have and take some for herself - she took five. Then I went to get milk, and got home just before Edward. This afternoon I need to clean the bathrooms, otherwise it’s reading or knitting.

Good afternoon all.
Distinctly colder here today.
We have been for a paper and to visit MrsC's Auntie Violet in her Pontefract residential home.
Son has now tested positive for Covid; his symptoms are just a heavy cold.
This testing is going to bring the country to a halt, the way it's going.
i need to do my exercises.
It looks like reading here too, because the TV looks a bit dire today.
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.

Definitely colder here too, but it's bright and breezy so we took the remainder of the decs down this morning (only the tree and the garland to take down and put away) and then after a hoover round and a small tidy, we jumped in the car and headed up to Seaham to take advantage of the dry day and the last day of 'freedom' - Back to work tomorrow after almost 2 full weeks off - it's gonna be hard!!

Lovely walk along the front at Seaham, unfortunately lots of others had the same plan so it was very busy.....we popped into the Lookout for a hot drink and I had a large slice of lemon drizzle cake  Back now, heating is on and it's starting to get dark....

Ria the chrome book sounds intriguing! I hate typing posts on my phone so usually only post when I open the laptop, about once a week!! I may have to look into this...

All done and dusted :Hi: It wasn't an x-ray, more a mouse over my scar, ecografia.

Got what we wanted in Lidl, dropped off stuff for Chris and Lucy, then sat outside with a beer. Just getting dark and cold, so fire now lit.

Because Jan's hubby tested positive, I'm waiting to hear about the car being taken away next week-end, for it's annual Algarve holiday 8-) and then who will be taking me to Beja next Tuesday. It might all be cancelled  We'll see.

Hope your son recovers quickly Crommers xx
