Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 08 Dec 2021, 07:34

Good morning.

Another national holiday here.

We went out for a drink and a bite to eat with Jacob last night and Conor surprised us by being there. Him and J had planned it. :D

The four of us are going out for lunch then Conor will head home.

Some friends of ours want to meet up with us so we'll just stay out. 8-)

Have a great day.

Hope the scan went ok yesterday Ria. xx

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Grey and damp this morning, we had the promised rain last night :Hi: Mild though 8-)

Off to Ourique after breakfast for my double arm sticking  then the joy that is Pingo. Probably rammed, but we need wine and beer :o Pit stop for coffee on the way back - probably a large brandy too

Chris and Lucy coming round this afternoon, with Grumpy's new vaccine certificate and mine, if she can sort it. And a gossip and a few beers. They're having their first Portuguese lesson this morning, will be interesting to see how they get on :D

Enjoy your time with the boys Ally :D

Hope Jen had good news yesterday xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s grey and dreary here but the wind has died down. We are up early as we are heading off to do some Christmas shopping - we were supposed to go yesterday but didn’t because of the weather. Instead, I got the ironing up to date and cleaned the bathrooms, to leave myself fairly free for the rest of the week as Thursday, Friday and Saturday are busy this week. My Christmas present for my sister has just arrived in the post, which is good. We need to be back earlyish as our supermarket shop is due between 4-6 - it used to be 9-11 and it usually arrived near to 11 or sometimes after, but since we changed times it arrives at the start of the time slot, and even last week at 15.40, so we’ll need to make sure we are here.

Good morning everybody.

It is still raining and blowing. Will go for the paper when I have done some ironing. Will not be going out again today.

Morning all :)

Ally that was such a lovely surprise for you - enjoy your day today
Jan, good luck with the jabbing and hope Pingo isn't too bad.
Osc, hope you find all the bits and bobs you still need and hope the shopping turns up on time
Cruiser, I'd also stay in - it really is grim out there

Well, what a blustery windy and wet day it was yesterday - so much better today! Still windy and apparently the rain is due again at some point but for now I'm enjoying the fact that it's dry.
Scan went as expected, they confirmed that the ganglion is just that and not attached to anything so nothing sinister, so next step is to schedule a day for it to be removed

Sadly yesterday we (ie Karl, Nadine and I) decided to cancel our plans to go to Germany for Christmas. With the new travel regulations and now needing a total of 3 various covid tests per person it was just becoming too expensive, coupled with the ongoing uncertainty that restrictions could change whilst we are all there etc we, with a heavy heart we decided it's wisest to stay here in the UK. I am going to look at flight options just to see what gives as I could work from there should I get stuck, but Karl and Nadine can't - but I will probably delay everything to January which will be just as nice. So rather disappointing but it is what it is.

Today I am going to finish decorating the Christmas Tree - I was meant to do it yesterday but got busy with other things; so today is the day :D

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning all.
Dull and grey here, heavy spatters of rain on the windows but not much wind.
Well done Vic!
That's sad about the flights Ria.
We are going to pick Eliza up from nursery and get a paper this morning.
This afternoon we may go to a garden centre where they have massive singing toy reindeer. Eliza will love it, me probably not so much as it will be packed out. Ho hum.
Have a good day all.
