Postby Ally » 28 Nov 2021, 06:45

Good morning.

Sunny and warm again. 8-)

Off for a walk shortly.

We're having friends over this afternoon for a BBQ. Conor and Lucia will be here too. :cute:

Jen....I loved La La Land. :D :D
I also meant to say I thought The Joker was a fantastic film when we finally got round to watching it last Saturday.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another sunny but blowy morning.

So we had a lie-in, to let the poorly one hopefully feel better.

Cleaning this morning, a little late, but as it's only two of us, not that dirty, just dusty from the fires.

Off out for a late lunch, Chris and Lucy have invited us, so that is something to look forward to :Hi: As long as Lucy has no reaction to her jabs yesterday.

Grumpy feeling better this morning, hopefully, just a short reaction. Chatting to a friend, who had both jabs too, yesterday, she spent the whole day just dozing.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s sunnier here today but treacherous on the paths and roads.

Joe stayed at Amanda’s last night after driving back from Cornwall, her mother was worried about him driving back home in this as they’re rural. He’ll have to head back at some point today though because his things for college are here.

Al, I’ve not watched La La Land but we walked to the bridge with the old fashioned lights on it which appears in the film when we were in Pasadena, I’d read about it in a guide book as one of the things to see there. It’s now referred to in our house as the Disappointing Bridge. I thought it was nice though

Glad Grumpy’s feeling better Jan. John went to bed early last night as he was tired and his arm was aching but he’s fine this morning.

Cottage pie for dinner!

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, we’re home. We’re a bit ho hum about Budapest, to be honest. Our trip included a half day tour of the city on Thursday morning, and we probably should have given it a miss - too much time on a coach with the guide saying “on the left is this building, on the right is that building……”. Because of one way systems, we seemed to pass the same things several times, the streets seemed narrow, the weather was dark and cold. But once that was over, we set off on our own and it was much better. We went to the Christmas market, and took a trip on the big wheel, which was fab with great views over the city in the dark. Friday it rained all day, but we walked lots anyway. Someone had given me the name of a restaurant so we walked to that and had a lovely late lunch, with the best apple strudel I have ever eaten in my life. Yesterday morning, we both had bad tummy upsets so we were filling ourselves full of Imodium - thankfully we were ok for our flight home but were very tired so it was early to bed. Tonight I’m going to see Gary Barlow with Miss Osc, my birthday present from her, we are going for a meal beforehand.

Good morning all.
I do admire you getting out and about around Europe Osc.
Very slippy on the paths around here too Jan.It froze overnight, MrsC has put some fresh water out for the birds.
Glad Grumpy is a bit better Jan. A bbq! I'd love that, but not today, perhaps.
You've had some right weather Saundra! It's been on the news.
The family is coming for Sunday dinner and afterwards I suppose we'll watch the footie.
Have a great day all.

Morning all :D

Quite bright and sunny, but windy, bet it's mighty cold out there

It will be some time before we can think about a BBQ Ally.
Glad Grumpy feels better Jan.
Stay warm Saundra.
Osc enjoy seeing Gary Barlow.

Managed to get the Christmas letters finished and printed, a parcel ready for posting tomorrow, now just need to finish the cards. Back to roast chicken with veg for dinner later, strawberry blancmange with blackcurrant jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Looks like we’re also in for more, judging by the colour of the sky, Crommers.
