Morning Ally, morning everyone

Thick fog this morning  and rather cold

Three separate rooms were used last night. Grumpy in one, me in another and Molly in another one  I woke up at 3.00, Molly decided she wanted something to eat  , then I couldn't get back to sleep, so moved into the new bedroom, so I could read and dozed from about 6.30 until 8.00

Off to Ourique this morning. Grumpy has his flu jab. Not sure if he's having the booster, it wasn't mentioned in the message, but some people have, some haevnt, so we'll wait and see.

Will stop off at the chemist on the way back, collect some prescriptions and leave another for ordering. Pit stop for coffee on the way back.

Tonight is going to be down to 2C, so we're going to cover over the more vulnerable plants.

Safe journey Kaz, have a great time x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all
In Worcester for the weekend, rain overnight but the sun is coming out.

Travelling here on the train very few people wearing masks despite regular announcements to do so.

Arriving in the city while waiting for a bus (20 min) we could have counted on one hand how many locals were wearing a mask

Good morning all from Budapest, where it is dull and cold with rain forecast. We’re having an easy day today, a visit to the big indoor market and a meal somewhere nice. We went for a walk last night and met a couple on one of the bridges who asked us to take their photo. Edward set himself up and the young man dropped down on one knee and produced a ring for his girlfriend - the romance of it! The hotel is very good, near to everything.

Morning all

Ally, some of that warmth wouldn't go amiss here, please send some over
Jan - musical bedrooms, just as well you have the space now :D . Fingers crossed for Grumpy that he has the booster as well as flu jab and hope you get everything done
Victor, it amazes me that it's not law to wear masks on trains esp as they are enclosed spaces with lots of people. Outside is a different matter, but small confined inside spaces.... ????
Osc, saw your post on FB yesterday - that was just so special . Glad you're both having a lovely time so far

Well, not the best end to the day yesterday / start to the day today - it was officially announced that South Africa is back on a travel red list and rumours are rife that the UK is considering putting Germany on the red list as well; which means our Christmas plans are scuppered once more. My brother and his wife in SA are heartbroken - their two daughters, one SIL and their grandson live in The Netherlands / Germany respectively and they just couldn't wait to see and hug them again; and now 99% won't be happening. Liesel (my sister-in-law in SA) is absolutely devastated.

Oh well, we just have to wait to see if they review things and allow those who are double vaccinated to travel, but not holding out much hope.

Other than that - a usual usual for me; work and pootle.

have a lovely day everyone, stay warm x

Morning all its terrible here pounding rain and gales
It's forecast 80mile gale overnight
Tomorrow a booster clinic is booked at our doctors
For 1,500 shots it amazes me that a drs expect people to line the pavement plus everyone goes regardless of time it's just horrendous no car park as well only other places available are hull 25mile away or Scarborough 23mile
Rant over

Hope you all have a better day ria it's awful situation your family is in and the talk of a new virus set to emerge what a world we live in black Friday xx

Morning all :D

Raining here

Wish you could send the sunny weather here Ally.
Safe journey Kaz.
I think it should be compulsory to wear masks on public transport Victor.
Glad you're enjoying your break Osc.
Fingers tightly crossed for your family and their travel plans this Christmas Ria.
Gosh the booster clinic at your surgery sounds a shambles Saundra :o

We had a successful day yesterday, the tree's up and the house is lovely and festive inside and out. Just as well, it wouldn't be much fun getting wet running in and out to the garage today. It's Friday so the washing's on the go and we're expecting a Sainsbury's order between 1-2pm, oh the excitement

Hope you all have a good day xx

The fog has gone and it's lovely and sunny now 8-)

We were watching the news last night Ria and thought of you and your plans. Heartbreaking for all concerned.

Well, the Portuguese certainly know how to do chaos   Grumpy's appointment was for 10.45, so I got him there at 10.30 ;) There was a huge queue at the front of the centro de convivio and so I sent him round the back, which was the right thing to do. The front was for testing all the local teachers and other government bods and the back was for the gripe and also boosters. He managed to get both :Hi:

Then onto the chemist. The doctor hadn't put the correct codes on for the prescriptions, so I have to go to the open clinic in the morning to get them sorted  We are going in anyway, as there is the now vastly bigger monthly market in Ourique. Not huge, but more than six stalls now

And I learnt a new word. Nevoeiro. Fog. 8-)

Good afternoon everybody.
Have been helping at one of the vaccination clinics again this morning. Had a group of about 30 young men-- asylum seekers- who had an escort and were
kept speararte from the other persons being vaccinated.

WE have had rain, sleet and hailstones this morning. Now have blue skies but a chilling wind.
Now just pootling.
Have a good day everybody.

Hi everyone:) Sorry to be so tardy but I’ve just got into the Wi-Fi

We had quite a good journey down, we avoided the M5 so as to miss Bristol and took the M4, M3 route round Southampton and Bournemouth instead. This B&B is beautiful! A lovely Georgian house right near Wimborne market square. Our rooms are very comfy and absolutely spotless! Just got back from a wander round, sussing out somewhere for sit tonight - so far the Wimborne Pig looks favourite 8-)

Ria you and family are in my thoughts. I do hope things work out! Loving ((((((hugs)))))) on their way xxx

Have a good evening everyone :) xx
