It's because some idiots light a fire and then walk away - next door being one of them  - then it gets out of hand and the bombeiros have to come and sort it out.

There have been many large fires caused by people just not thinking. >We used to be able to ring the bombeiros and tell them when we were going to have one.

hello all, rather late in the day but as they say rather late than never :D :D :D

How did Harry get on Kaz, hope all went well?

too many posts to reply individually but hope you all had / are having a good day. I had an optometrist appointment this morning, then did some shopping for two neighbours, one lot both he and she have confirmed Covid the other one says she has just a cold / flu but she hasn't tested at all so who knows; either way I just did a bag drop by the door, knock and go :D

Karl and I both had out boosters yesterday and the NHS app is already updated - I am so impressed. But as a family we're watching the Covid developments in Europe and are becoming just a bit more worried that Germany will either do a lock down or enforce various rules such as no more than three households mixing over the Christmas period which will totally scupper all our plans; and also hope that neither France, Belgium or The Netherlands close their borders for transiting as the cases there are all spiking.

Oh well, it'll be what it is but we're keeping everything crossed we can finally spend Christmas with the others.

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone - stay warm x

Afternoon and hello all, just a quick check in while I’m cooking dinner.

This cold virus has really gone to town on us, John has it now and has also tested negative. I suppose that our immune systems are a bit out of practice so need to get back up to speed. I’m over the worst though now I think. There was a Facebook post on one of our local pages last week asking if anyone else had it and there were loads of replies so it’s obviously something going around the area.

Fingers crossed for Harry! x

Ria, I hope that it all works out for your family this Christmas. We were only saying a week or so back that we should book a European city break but I think now it might be an idea to hold fire a bit.

Enjoy the rest of the day all xx
