Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 10 Nov 2021, 06:00

Good morning.

Boring Brenda reporting warm and sunny again.

Yesterday I left my walk until after 9.30am. Bad move! By 11 and running home I was too hot.
I'm leaving for today's walk at 7.30.

We're off to Miramar shopping this morning.

Lots of big named shops in a lovely airy mall. :D

Popping into Iceland on the way back. Brown sauce and salad cream are top of the list.

Meeting up with a couple of friends this evening for a beer and a bite to eat. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely and sunny, but not warm yet.Very pretty, as there is mist in the valleys, looking down to the Algarve.

The joy that is Pingo is the highlight of my day    Also popping into the Chinese for a couple of bits, pit stop for coffee on the way back and then cooking head on. Pork stew and chicken pie. Stew for tomorrow, pie for tonight.

There will be a happy and stuffed cat in the house later

Hope Jen had a better night xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

merry morning you two, and everyone else

Ally, just being curious - what with Brexit etc; has that affected the stock at your Iceland - either in the way of supply or cost?
Jan, happy Molly :D

Well sort of another usual / usual for me. Usual work yes, but have a little hedgehog in a box in the bathroom that I need to get to Wildlife Aid at some point this morning. Little one is only 248gr (half a pound) so far too small to even try get to hibernation weight so it'll be overwintered and then released back here in the spring. Then later this afternoon / early evening I'm meeting my brother at Wickes so we can get a whole lot of stuff needed for the chicken area. Avian flu is rife again and it won't be long before the chickens will need to go back into lockdown, ie undercover and closed in. Last year I used a gazebo and it worked fine, but Avian flu is going to be a fairly regular thing so I've asked Karl if he can come up with a more permanent solution.

Hope Jen is doing OK?

Have a lovely day everyone x

Certainly affected ours in the Algarve. Took them ages to get all the normal stuff in, They imported some rubbish from Ireland - sorry Osc, but mushy corned beef? And the Tesco had lots of the same things on the shelves.

All back to normal now, just a lot more expensive

Good morning all.

Mild with a bit of drizzle here, and with no wind that looks like it is set for the day.

A shower soon and then I am off to the hospital for my skin biopsy. However, it does give me a chance for a rare visit to Lidl, which is just up the road on the way back. My excitement is unbounded.... such is modern life.

Also on the way back is a call to the phone shop for a repair - a new battery. I have managed to kill the old one and, true to form, it is only just out of guarantee. No 'user replacement parts' so it has to be left overnight.

Ah well, have a good day you lot.

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast again, we did have sunshine early afternoon yesterday, would be nice if today turns out the same.

Good luck with the biopsy WM, hope it goes well.

Slept much better last night, only got up once :D Hoping for a good day too. E's doing really well with the dinners, cooking's not his thing and he's dealing with a picky eater, but so far so good.

Finally watched Dexter last night, brilliant 8-) :D :D

Hope you all have a good day xx
