Good morning peeps.

It is clear and cold - 5 °C - good walking weather so that's what I might do.

Talking of Covid boosters... I get mine tomorrow at the GP's. I have not even had so much as a sore arm from either the Covid or Flu jabs.

That could be me talking too soon. :D :D :D

Afternoon everyone :)

Good luck with your covid jab Frank, I went with D for her flu jab this morning. She feels fine apart from a heavy arm :)

I just had a very close call! I was crossing a busy road on my way back from D's. The road looked completely empty apart from a huge skip lorry that slowed down and stopped, for me to cross. I didn't really want to, as if he'd just carried on I could have crossed a completely empty road, but he gestured at me so I stepped out, crossed over the front of him - and almost into the path of a speeding car, driven by two lads, who were undertaking him   Luckily he had lightning reactions, stopped dead, about an arm's length away from me   Another couple of seconds and that would have been that

I think all three of us were at fault really - the skip lorry driver should have kept going, the car driver shouldn't have come up on the inside like that, and I should have waved that lorry driver on and waited for a clear road  Mick had to make me a cuppa and a biscuit when I got in, I was pretty shaken up :?

Kaz, what a nasty shock!
Feet up tonight and rest; something like that takes it out of you. xx

Cripes!

We need eyes in the back, and sides, of our heads when out near the roads these days.
