Spiced apple chutney!

Postby Kaz » 23 Oct 2021, 18:43

I was going to make green tomato chutney, as per Deb’s recipe but when I went out to the garage to get my tomatoes they’d gone mouldy :o So I used apples instead

We use the BBC Good Food website a fair bit; so many other site's recipes seem to be OTT .....

Yes please Kaz. Yet again our trees have produced more than I can eat/cook/swap/give away.

Our lemon trees have recovered so well since we had that frost last year. One of them is just laden, bending all the branches down.

And I don't like gin and tonic

Aren't fresh lemons just super Jan. :D

I squeeze and freeze loads of lemon juice and everyday have squeezed lemon in hot water.

All our neighbours have lemon trees so no need to pass any around but we have a good mix of apples, oranges, limes, pears, pomegranates, figs and avocados. Oh and Mari Carmen has kumquats and makes jam.

Don't get me started on who grows what veg.
