Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 06 Oct 2021, 05:47

Good morning.

Forecast warm and sunny.

After a swim we're packing our rucksacks and off to Nerja for two nights. :cute:

Lots of walking, good food to tempt my appetite back and being on the beach. Perfect. 8-)

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Pea souper this morning  But it is slowly, very slowly lifting and we're due a sunny and warm day 8-)

Enjoy your time away Ally :Hi:

Off to the joy of Pingo later, taking some books with me, as we're meeting some-one who is in dire need of books  and also popping in to the Chinese for light bulbs. Now it's getting darker, we really need to change one of the wall lights in the kitchen. I really need to see what I'm doing

Good to see the hoarding around where the new Aldi is going to be and apparently, Castro Verde is getting a Lidl :Hi: Won't need to go down to the Algarve or Odemira anymore :Hi:

Back to pootle, if there isn't any of that nasty north wind, I'd like to do some gentle weeding. Might pop down the bar later, as it's still birthday week

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny, but a tad windy.

Have a lovely time in Nerja Ally.
Jan sounds as though Pingo will have to improve immensely if they want to keep their custom.
Hope your mum had a good night Jo xx

Still got bits to finish up in the garden back and front. Just one bush to cut back in the back garden, but haven't started on the front. Luckily it's just one border to deal with. Depends on the wind.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, and my mad week continues. Edward’s back pain is not being helped by usual painkillers, so I thankfully managed to get a doc appointment for him this afternoon as the chemist shop said he might need a more specific analgesic. Shortly I am going to Miss Osc’s friend’s house, the bridesmaids including Miss Osc are leaving at 1pm and the bride at 1.30. Then back here to watch the wedding on Zoom, before going to a funeral home to commiserate with the family of a 97 year old who died earlier in the week - luckily the surgery is virtually across the road from the funeral home, so Edward can head off for his appointment. Later on, I need to do our passenger locator forms for Italy. Didn’t sleep too well as the alarm in the icecream shop next door started going off around 11pm, I contacted them on Instagram and someone did arrive later. However, I struggled to sleep well after that. Never mind, early to bed tonight!

Enjoy Nerva, Ally!

Good afternoon folks.
I saw the physio this morning, he's happy and will see me again in a fortnight.
MrsC has done a little shop and got some petrol Only £30 but it will do.
Well spotted Cruiser, I'll have to start checking my statement more carefully.
I do hope Edward's back pain gets sorted Osc.
have a good day all.

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, have a great time, just what you need :) xx

Jan, great news about the new supermarkets :Hi: xx

Crommers we seem to be back to normal here, re the petrol situation - fingers crossed! XX

Hope you can get your gardening done Jen xx

Oh poor E, Osc :( I do hope the doc can help ((((x))))

I met my friend J for a cuppa this morning, then popped up to see D - she feels better today, which is good :) I was going to Zumba tonight, but Am just messaged to say she's not feeling well, and I don't think I will bother on my own.

Need to ring my sister tonight, for last minute details of our trip to London this weekend. Julie turns 60 on Saturday, and there's going to be a family meal at the Skylon restaurant at the Royal Festival Hall, then an overnight stay in a nice hotel by Westminster Bridge. We're driving to Harry's, leaving the car there, meeting Chris at the station and catching a local train to Waterloo. Mick doesn't fancy navigating the congestion charges and parking in Central London, and I can't say I blame him. Anyway, both the hotel and restaurant are a stone's throw from Waterloo :)

Love to all :) xxx

And breathe……..

The traffic was awful on the way to the docs, Edward’s bp was well up when she took it! She gave him a muscle relaxant (which turns out to be Valium!) and a stronger version of Solpadene - he is currently feeling no pain, floating halfway to the ceiling  I made it to the funeral home with 15 minutes to spare, enough to pay my respects to the family. As I was strolling back to the car to wait for Edward, I “happened” to wander into a boutique and “happened” to buy a nice jackety coat ……….

I’ve now done our PLFs for Saturday, the Italian ones are a bit fiddly but they are done now. I have a feeling that I ticked a wrong box in mine  I also have the beds ready for Michael and Kellie coming to stay tomorrow night, I have a nice photo from the wedding they were at today, will pop it over on the Photo Board.
