The Cee Word!

Postby Kaz » 05 Oct 2021, 16:41

 I've just made my Christmas day food order   I do usually make a "click and collect" as I use our year's saved Nectar points for it, but this is by FAR the earliest I've made the order. The reminder leaflet came through the post today, and bearing in mind the talk of supply issues and shortages......well.........

I like corned beef, a corned beef sarnie and a cuppa at yours instead of having to cook for my lot sounds good to me ;)

So do I, but those tins are lethal, cut myself very badly on one earlier this year, still got a small scar to prove it :|

Our Xmas Menu box is up and running; I think dried prunes are the next item I have to source .... :?

Ossie what you do in opening a tin is put a teaspoon handle threw the key and then turn key with the teaspoon

Oh my word - it's three months away!

I am still working through the "one for now and one for the cupboard" during the panicdemic, and the freezer is full with lamb, chicken and beef medallions. I think I'll be OK.

Thanks, saundra - what I find is it's that final bit when you've opened all the way round the tin but the last bit doesn't snap off. Then you have to wrestle with it to get it open and that's how I got wounded!
Mrs O seems to do better than me by taking off the paper wrapper first before using the key ...
