Good Morning Monday

Postby JoM » 27 Sep 2021, 07:01

Good morning all, it’s pouring down here so no walk here yet. The ironing’s been done instead.

Hoping that Tom and Joe can get petrol today. John did a drive around of six local petrol stations last night, five were closed and he was able to get his much needed diesel at the sixth but they had no petrol, if they had he’d have called home and got them to go and fill up.

Have a good day all :)

Morning Jo, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning and no wind. Bliss 8-)

Washing machine on and I'll water the new trees later.

Grumpy will be sorting out the bottom drive later and then we'll be acorn picking again  There are loads on the trees this year. Must have been all the rain we had

Meeting our nice neighbours at the bar later. They're heading off to Lisbon tomorrow and then back to Canada. Should be back in November.

Hope you can get petrol, if needed, over there.

Happy hobbling Crommers :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning everyone :)

Jo, I have my fingers crossed! XX

Have a good time with the neighbours, Jan. What will you do with the acorns, are there many squirrels nearby? ;) xx

Not sure what I am up to today, I usually see Em on Mondays but her youngest is visiting from London, so probably won't be able to. Need to message her to see what's what. I shall probably walk in anyway, I need some flowers for the dining table, so will go to M&S. Zumba tonight.

Have a good day everyone xx

Morning all

well, that was a wet and windy start to the day but now the clouds are gone and the sun in shining, but still rather very windy. I was expecting all my sunflowers to have toppled over but they're actually OK for now

Jan, that was a quick visit by the neighbours
Jo, fingers crossed for the petrol. I was lucky in that I drove past a nearly empty petrol station on Friday evening on my way home from Karl and Nadine so popped in and put in petrol. So between Karl, Nadine and I we have two cars full and two part full which means enough petrol for everyone to get to / from work for the week; and then Nadine and I are away next week so won't need and fingers crossed by the time we come back it's all back to normal.
Kaz and Saundra, enjoy your days whatever you decide to do

I'm about to pop out to look at a poncho someone is selling; she sells clothing from home and is closing down so good bargains to be had. But not sure about the fit hence going to try on. But if it fits it'll be perfect for winter ;)

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning all. A grey, windy and rainy start to the day.
We have been over to a car body shop for a quote only to find it closed. No wonder the phone wasn't being answered.
Had a look at the petrol in the car, we've got roughly three quarters of a tank full, so no worries.
A beef stew later using the leftovers from yesterday's joint.
I'll try and have a walk inbetween the showers.
Have a good day all.

Good morning everybody.

Had a lovely time with my grand-daughter. TRain only took two hours from London Euston.First stop was Warrington.
She says she wants to come again before Christmas.
She showed me how to do "Whatsapp"" on my phone.
There has been heavy rain in the night and the sun has been out for a few minutes. But the rain is back.
Lost my internet connection sometime during the night. Can easily tell as one of the phones was not showing the time.
Manged to phone Virgin on the mobile. They said it would be after noon before I was reconnected. But here I am. Seems it is all sorted.
Having a lazy day with some dusting and polishing.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :D

Rain and heavy gales first thing, but it's a bit brighter now.

Jo hope Tom and Joe manage to get petrol today.
Your day sounds busy Jan.
Glad you had a lovely time with your granddaughter Cruiser.

Really need to get out in the garden to pick up all the palm leaves that came down in the wind last night, hoping it dries up this afternoon. Expecting a Tesco delivery in an hour or so and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx
