Good Morning Wednesday

Postby JanB » 15 Sep 2021, 06:49

Morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning after yesterdays rain 8-) We are forecast wet stuff this afternoon, but looking at the sky, not a hope

Off to the joy that is Pingo soon and we'll have a coffee on the way back, check the post and then have breakfast when we get back.

Might have a wander around the garden, see what's growing, needs cutting back and might even get the scissors out to do some pruning. I would like to cut back some of the spikey plants and put the cuttings in water for a while, until they get roots and then put them in a couple of places, by the fence and down by the gate.

Hope Crommers is doing okay x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning JanB and anybody else who is up

Waiting for an electrician to come. He is puting another double socket in the kitchen so i will not need an extension lead for the kettle.
Also moving the sockets for the washer and dryer so they will be easy to get at. At eh moment they are hidden behind them and I want
them were they are easy to get at.

The sun is out with a lovely blue sky. We have missed the heavy rain they had in London and in the south
Have a good day everybody.

Good morning all.
Yes Jan doing OK thanks. If the rain holds off I'll have another totter down the road and back today. How are you doing now?
Eliza is coming later after morning nursery.
This afternoon I'll probably have a nap. One thing I've noticed is that you do get tired, a lot more tired than usual. So a nap is good.
Apart from that not much.
Wish we had either of you two's weather, ours is wall to wall grey!
Have a nice day all.

Morning Jan and Cruiser, good morning everyone

Jan, hope Pingo isn't too bad - the rest of the day sounds rather nice; enjoy ;-)
Cruiser, good idea re the electrics, esp the washing machine and dryer - last thing you want is to have to try pull the appliances out to get at the plugs should there be an emergency.
Crommers, that's good going - tottering up and down the road; well done! How are you feeling with it all; has the new hip eased any discomfort? Sleep is the body's way of healing so totally understandable you wanting to nap.

A much nicer day today than yesterday; well yesterday morning that is..... as you said Cruiser; the heavens openend. I woke up about 6 listening to the rain and it was lovely and gentle, but then within the hour it started bucketing down. I urgently need to replace the gutters at the back of my place as they're leaking at all the joints.

Well work day in the office today, but finishing just after 4 - my sister is arriving from Germany so I'm meeting her at the St Pancras as she's making the journey by train. I so cannot wait!!!! :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:
She will be here for a week so it will be amazing to have some quality time together.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s grey out there. I had one of those mornings where I couldn’t seem to wake up, so am still in my dressing gown. Edward has headed off to the golf club to hit a few balls. I’ll tidy up then have my shower, I’ve several things on my to-do list today, including ironing and cleaning the utility room.

Ria, you must be so excited about seeing your sister, you’ll have lots of catching up to do! I understand about the tiredness, Crommers, any surgery really takes it out of you, take naps when you need them.

Yes Ria, I'm in much less pain than I was before the op. That makes sense about the healing.
That's good Osc, glad to know it's not just me.

Morning all :D

Bit dull, but nice and dry.

Ria how lovely for you to have your sister to stay, you must be so excited.
Osc is right Crommers, surgery definitely takes it out of you. Just keep up the walking and exercises and take as many naps as you need.

The dishwasher saga continues, in spite of me making a couple of calls to confirm and being assured it was all booked in, the engineer was a no show, totally fed up with it. Finally got through this morning, the chap I spoke to apologised and said we should have had a call letting us know if the engineer wasn't unable to attend. We don't get calls full stop and we definitely won't be buying AEG ever again!! New appointment is for tomorrow am.

Planning to drive over to Westwood Cross and a bit of shopping in M&S. Also need to pop into the jewellers to check on the progress of E's watch repair. We'll probably have lunch while we're there.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Fine, thank you x Still need naps, most afternoons and sometimes the morning too   Still not eating as much, which is good, in a way, but it has to be something I really want to eat, rather than just something on a plate. Most unlike me

Sun still out, but the clouds are gathering, so we might pop down to the bar later, for a beer, as I need to post a birthday card.
