The police have been round...

Postby Workingman » 28 Aug 2021, 14:50

My lovely Polish neighbours have had their car stolen overnight - a Mokka. They have only had it a few weeks, if that.

She is back in Poland visiting family and he has just come home from working the 6 - 2 shift and there it was....gone! He had used her little Corsa to get to and from work.

I sleep with a window open and at about 7 am I heard a bip-bip and doors open and close then the vehicle drove off but I thought nothing of it. It was parked just behind mine so virtually under my bedroom window. I have given a statement to the police, but I guess that it will not be seen again.

This is a very low crime area and is enclosed on three sides with woodland and shrubbery with jut one road in and one out. The bip-bip suggests to me that someone had spare keys or had cloned his key code.

You can't have anything nice without somebody wanting to steal it. I hope they get it back, relatively undamaged.

That’s awful Frank, it annoys me so much when hardworking people can’t have decent things without the fear of some lowlife damaging or taking them.

Frank, that is just horrible :( I hope the insurance gets it sorted very quick. I'm with Jo on this one - I just don't get why people think it's OK to do what they do.
