Good Morning Friday

Postby cruiser2 » 06 Aug 2021, 07:35

Good morning Everybody.

It is raining. Waiting for a joiner to come. He is going to fit a new piece in the window sill at the front. The wood is rotting and I do not want water
getting into the house.
Also have some more plaster to take of one wall in the kitchen. The plasterer is coming next week then I can have some more tiles fitted and the rest
just painted to match the rest of the kitchen.
Then just pootling and relaxing

Good morning Cruiser, good morning everyone :D

Cruiser your kitchen will look amazing when all done. And good idea replacing the outside piece of wood before water gets in - nightmare once that starts.

Another usual / usual for me. Need to pop to a hardware store to pick up a few things because Karl is coming over after work today (and he'll be here tomorrow) to fit new skirting boards and architrave in the kitchen / dining area. Once that's done then the area just needs a quick lick of paint and then it's all done in the way of the DIY bits (for now  )

not much else to report ;-)

ongoing vibes for Ally and family x

have a lovely day everyone

Morning all, it’s just started to pour down again here.

Bill had his first walk earlier, I wasn’t sure he’d get out as it was raining when I got up and looked out of the window but stopped for long enough for us to walk for an hour.

I’m now waiting for the Tesco delivery which is due within the hour. Tom’s just gone out with his camera, he’s off to London for the day.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, it's a bit 'meh' here.

The canopy arrived yesterday..... at my landlords place, and the electrical inspection went OK so it looks like I am safe from electrocution for the next five years

Need to get out for a card and present for Sophie's birthday on Sunday but apart from that it will be pootling.

Thoughts are with Ally xx

Have a good day all.

Morning all :)

Thoughts for Ally and family xxx

I'm on my way to Bristol, it's the furthest I've been for almost a year  :) Mick's driving me as works at Temple Meads station in Bristol means no direct trains from Gloucester! Having lunch with old school friends, will be lovely, only about 40 years of gossip to catch up on ;)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, it’s overcast here although the sun is making a feeble effort, rain forecast for later though. I am off to the gym shortly, I was 2nd on the waitlist earlier but two people must have cancelled so I’m in. No real plan for the rest of the day, we spent a lot of yesterday looking at various holiday options to celebrate our 50th anniversary next May, a fun way to pass a miserable day, so that might continue later on. Also I’ve started knitting a cardigan for Kellie for Christmas. A dress I ordered from M&S arrived today, another due on Monday, and I’ve also got another pair of lovely Scholl flip flops. Right, off to the gym >>>>>>

Kaz, have a great day with lots of chat and laughs. Thinking of Ally xx

Morning all :D

Rain overnight, but it's sunny right now, who knows........

Thinking of Ally and family xx

Our dishwasher is flashing an error code, not one we can cope with so I'll have to ring AEG and see if it can be fixed. If not we'll have to buy another one, either way it will be inconvenient and costly  Washing day and bed change day for me, that should keep me well occupied. In between I'll be catching up with the Olympics, more medals :D :D :D

Hope you all have a good day xx
