Afternoon all, temperature-wise it’s slightly less like hell here today.

Bill had a long long 90 minute walk early on. Got back around 8.30 and put a load of washing on, the Tesco delivery was due between 10 and 11 so I got a shower, tidied my humidity ruined hair and thought I’d go to the post box to post a birthday card. Just at that point, just before 9.30, Bill started going beserk at the window and Tesco were here. The man asked if it was a problem delivering early, not at all! It was nice to get it done and put away, and with just two substitutions as well (one being a pack of Ink Joy pens, the other a bottle of beer) despite the dire reports of food shortages in the media. I did very well with the pens and got a great bargain. I’d ordered a small pack at £1.50 and they subbed them with a large pack priced at £6, but obviously just charged me £1.50!)

Once that was all away me and Bill walked to the post box, he dragged me the scenic route around the village and walked up the little lane to the rugby club for a nosy, he’s never shown any interest in going up to there before so no idea why he decided to look today

Tom’s gone off on holiday this morning. Shannon’s cousin’s wedding is tomorrow near Croyde in Devon so they’ve gone to that and are making a week of it.
Joe’s still in Edinburgh. They’ve been on an underground vaults tour, a ghost walk, walked up Arthur’s Seat and today they’ve been to the Camera Obscura museum. I think tomorrow they’re visiting the castle.

Right, off to get load number 3 out of the washing machine

Have a lovely holiday Crommers x

Love and thoughts are with Ally and the family xx

Jan, I was given a voucher for a manicure for my birthday a few years ago. I never used it, I hate having my nails messed with. I just keep them cut short but always wear nail polish, and I can do that myself

Have a good day all :)

 Afternoon everyone :)

It would have been good morning, as I tapped out a huge long post, all about the lovely time with my sis and BiL, and replying to everyone's post, but as I pressed submit the wifi in the M&S cafe dropped out and I lost the lot  :cute: I've been at D's ever since, she's quite upset as a friend has just died very suddenly, so I stayed to have a bite and a good chat.

Hatton Court where we had our meal Wednesday night was absolutely beautiful the view from the terrace was amazing Hatton Court Hotel, Cotswolds" https://hatton-court.co.uk Yesterday they came to us, the plan had been to go out for the day somewhere, but they both preferred to stay here, so we sat under the parasol on the decking for most of the day chatting, then we had cold chicken, new potatoes, salad and garlic bread for dinner, followed by apple pie and ice cream. Scrummy! They're off to Oxford today for two days, my sis is a bit of a culture vulture so the Ashmolean is on their list :)

Take care everyone :) xxx

Whitby has got mush busier since we started going regularly

A work colleague/friend went a few weeks ago and she said you could barely put a pin down between the visitors! :o She was staying in an apartment, which had an allocated car parking space, otherwise she said they'd never have got parked as everywhere was rammed. It's clearly becaue people are choosing not to fly and are instead holidaying in the UK, all coastal resorts are busier as a result.....even our little haven in Northumberland has been much busier than we've ever known it, and we've been going regularly since 2009.

Enjoy your break Crommers!! 8-) :D
