Water meter has ben fitted.
Ay 11.00 a.m no sign of the engineer so phoned the water company-United Utilities. I was told that the engineer who should be coming had ti isolate has
he had ben pinged. Was told theywere going to phone me to arrange a new appointment. I said I had already waited four weeks for this one. So I was transferred
to another department and contact was made with an engineer who arrived about 1.30 p.m.
It only took him 30 minutes to fit the new meter. This included cutting out part of the wooden panel at the back of the sink unit, fitting short sections of pipe,
stop valves and a drain valve.
Now the shelve is back in you cannot see the stop valve or the meter as it is hidden by the shelf.

that's good service Cruiser. Am very curious how you get on with the meter; please do keep us posted (if you don't mind that is?)

as for the pinging - that app is causing all sorts of issues for far too many industries.... something has to change!

I have decided I am only going to was up once a day. It may mean there are several plates mugs and glasses,
Am only watering the front garden evry other day.

The meter started at zero. Will record monthly readings. United Utilities only take readings every six months. They don't have to come into the house
to take the readings.
Will let you know what happens for a small charge
