Good morning Cruiser, and everyone.

Been awake since very early, it's so hot and sticky! Honestly if we're going to have summers like this, our houses will need to be built with air-conditioning  ;) I have plans to go into town, then to see D. I might get the bus as it's so hot. Mick has walked Fraggle early, that will probably be it for doggie walks today.

My sister and her husband are coming to Gloucester tomorrow, I am beyond thrilled as I haven't seen her since before the pandemic! They're making a mini-break of it, and staying at Hatton Court which is a very nice hotel just outside Gloucester. We're having dinner with them there Wednesday night, then spending Thursday with them :)

My thoughts have been very much with our Ally and her dad, I've put an update on the Families board post xx

Take care everyone xxx

Good morning Cruiser and Kaz, and good morning everyone else

Ongoing thoughts for Ally and her family
Frank, how are P & L doing?

Cruiser, makes sense getting into the garden before the sun gets too hot. I went to the allotment at 6.30 this morning to water and the temperature was lovely
Kaz, the bus will warm as well no doubt, but a much quicker journey :D And how wonderful that you're able to see your sister and BiL - that is so exciting

Well another usual / usual for me so nothing exciting to report

Have a good day everyone and stay cool :D x

Morning everyone

Cool start again, with lots of grey cloud. The sun will be out soon and it will be lovely and warm again 8-)

Thinking of Ally and her dad and family xx

And also WM's family xx

How lovely for you Kaz :Hi: :Hi:

Late start again for us, no dogs :Hi: and new pillows meant I over slept again  Watering done, quick coffee and breakfast, then it's the ironing. Head into the pool to cool down and this afternoon we're going down to Chris and Lucy's. They're off to England, via Chris's house in France. Lucy needs to see her medical bods, the van needs an mot and they're really hoping this will only take a couple of months and they'll be back here by October.

So we're in charge of the house - long week-end anyone? - checking the pool, plants etc until they come back. Jose Felipe is in charge of painting :D

Back here for a bbq.

Have a great day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s already too hot.

I took Bill for a very early walk but he didn’t want to go far. We were back home within 25 minutes. He’s really not enjoying this weather. He’s currently lying on the middle floor landing in front of a fan and with his water bowl to his side.

I’m going to get the lawns cut while they’re in the shade, I’ve got about half an hour before the sun hits the side and back gardens. I’ll come back in and hoover then, John’s in a meeting at the moment so I’m keeping the noise down.

Tom’s gone into the school to carry on setting up his classroom. Joe FaceTimed me from their Airbnb in Edinburgh yesterday to give me a guided tour. It’s a beautiful apartment right by the castle with an amazing view from the lounge window. Here’s the link to it if you want a nosy https://tinyurl.com/v8b5x3py They we’re quite excited because they’d been to Greyfriars churchyard and saw a sign saying that JK Rowling took name inspirations from graves in there for Harry Potter characters and they found one for Tom Riddle (aka Voldemort), he sent me a photo of it :D

How lovely Kaz, you’ll have a fantastic couple of days :D

Thoughts are very much with Ally, her Dad and the family xxx

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, already it is very warm here. I reckon it will be warmer than yesterday.
Thoughts for Ally and her dad, and I hope WM's family are recovering well.
Kaz, how lovely for you! Jo, I'm with Bill, it's way too hot!
Usual here too. MrsC has gone down to help clear her Uncle Jim's house (he's moved into a bungalow) and this afternoon we are having Eliza. She should have gone to her other grandparents but Kev (grandad) has injured himself. He may have torn his achilles tendon. It was a nine hour wait at Pinderfields Hospital (Wakefield) A and E last night so they went to Pontefracts A and E - a mere four hour wait. They were still there at 11.30 last night an we've heard nothing since.
Might try and order some wine this afternoon.
Have a good one everybody.

Good morning to you all.

It is hot again after another muggy night so not much sleep - I'll catch up later!

Kaz, great news for you and thoughts for Ally and her dad.

I am going round to see Lyra once it cools down and get more info on L & P. Apart from that it is just pottering or pootling, whichever is the less stressful.

Have a good one all of you but don't get burnt.

Morning all :D

Another scorcher here 8-)

Thoughts are with Ally and family.
Hope your family had a good night WM.
Lovely news for you Kaz.

E's watch needs a complete overhaul at a cost of £163, not ideal but pretty much what we expected. He decided to go ahead as it has sentimental value, but if it conks out again he'll just keep it as a memento. Apparently he won't see it again for 6/8 weeks. We were surprised to see so many people over there, particularly on a Monday. Seems a lot are still choosing to wear their masks in shops, customers and staff. We wore ours in the jewellers and the staff said they will continue and feel very uncomfortable when people come in unmasked.

Had a lovely afternoon in the garden yesterday, planning more of the same again today.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe and slap on the sun cream.

Evening all, another beautiful day here, not a cloud in the sky. I walked over to the golf club with Edward and then carried on, doing 6km in total. On my way back, I popped into the nail and lash bar to make an appointment to get my eyebrows tinted, but she took me straight away, and I made an appointment for a manicure on Friday. I was expecting a delivery between 1.00 and 2.00, some shorts I had ordered, and also Miss Osc’s part timer collected some post that had been delivered here. After lunch, I sat in the sun reading for an hour, then did some h/worky stuff. Also got a suit bag and toilet bags out of the attic in preparation for our trip to Cork at the weekend.
