Afternoon everyone :)

I've walked to town, then to D's, now home again. It's looked like rain all day, and is very humid, but no rain as yet!

Good luck with the Day 8 test Ally, and thoughts for your dad (((x)))

Ria, I hope everyone stays safe out in S.A. (((x)))

Love to all xxx

Good afternoon, all. Turned out quite nice this afternoon.

We had a drive out in the car after lunch to the HQ of the Somerset & Dorset Animal Rescue charity at Balsam Farm on the outskirts of Wincanton. We had an ancient duvet to dispose of and their website said they accepted bedding donations.

Quite a large set-up, albeit a bit higgledy in layout as befits a farm, and we found it deserted apart from a cheery lass intently grooming a medium-sized mongrel to within an inch of its scalp. Fur flying everywhere! Ossie stayed well clear ....
All the volunteers were out dogwalking, apparently. Anyway, donation gratefully received.

We also met our new neighbour for the first time, a very pleasant widowed lady in her late 50's, I'd guess, who moved in last Thursday. We had a short chat, and she seems to be settling in OK.
