Covid19 has had (still is) such an impact not only on people / mental & physical health etc but the amount of plastic waste it has created is appaling. Thankfully a lot is used by the vaccines so goes for incineration but so so much just is being dumped in landfill. The single use masks are horrible for that, and causing major issues with wildlife esp when people don't cut the loops / just drop them on the floor.

So please my fellow VV'ers - if you do use the single use masks, please make sure you cut loops before you bin x ;)

A timely reminder, Ria. Thank you.

There have been some horror stories about animals caught in these monstrosities; from birds to squirrels and even turtles and seal pups.

One in the car, one in my bag, one in the pocket of each jacket, and a pile of them on the desk near the front door. I have some nice cloth ones, and my favourites are some that my American cousin sent me last year. We also have some disposables in case it gets too warm for cloth ones although that doesn’t happen too often! However, I wore a cloth one at the golf yesterday when I needed to, it was very warm indeed and it was fine.

Actually, I've also got two large, black, reusable cloth ones, which make me look like Darth Vader on a bad day.
Trouble is, they're not the best of fits; they're just "adequate".
Nevertheless, I'll be using these from here on, I think. More as a fashion statement .....

Two reasons MM. One because just about every report on them says they are no use and two because we're in the middle of summer when respiratory diseases do not flourish.
So atm I reckon I'm as safe as I'm ever going to be.
