I've had leaky eyes...

Postby Ally » 17 Jun 2021, 16:26

... almost all day!

The kindness and generosity from my students has blown me away.

My first class this morning had all clubbed together and bought me a necklace from Pandora!

Throughout my afternoon classes I've had various gifts given to me.

And to add to all this loveliness I've had two birthday presents all wrapped up and told not to open till August.

I'm gobsmacked.

That is amazing, but shows just how special to and appreciated by the students you are Ally. You believe in them all and that makes such a huge impact on kids and their self esteem. The world needs more teachers like you

Ally, I get them when I put my drops in. Will have to put drops in again soon. Have to do it thre times a day.
Still have good eyesight.

You obviously make the sndents want to learn. They must enjoy listening to your words of wisdom.
Is this the first time you have had presents?

Ria... what a lovely thing to say. I feel humbled by your words. xx

I tend to get gifts at the end of term every year Cruiser but this year, with everything that's happened it all just feels so much more special.

When you have students saying they can't wait to come back in September gives me a nice warm glow. :D

Today's going to be another big lump in the throat time.

I've been working there for 7 years now and Reme has been with me from my very first day.

For the first 2 years she was in a class with others but for 5 years she's been a private student with me every Friday.
I've watched her grow from a sweet little 9 year old to an almost 17 lovely, lovely young woman.

She got her B1 exam with me and for the past 2 years has been studying for her B2 exam which she takes on the 3rd July.

She'll then begin her 2 year bachellerato course at school.

So today's her last lesson with me.

She can, of course, come back in the future to study C1 but that's a completely different ball game.

So I'm sure there will be more leaky eyes at 6.30 today.

Glad I'm meeting Don and the boys as they'll cheer me up. :cute:
