Good Morning Friday

Postby JanB » 18 Jun 2021, 07:42

Morning everyone

Cool, grey and more rain expected :Hi: :Hi:

Late start, as we were awake listening to the rain

Cleaning after breakfast, Grumpy still doing the vacuuming and mopping. Then not a lot. Not nice outside, so we'll stay inside.

Footie later - as it is every day at the moment

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good merry morning Jan, happy Friday and same to everyone else

Besides the footie bit, I think my post is very similar to yours
grey and rainy here - and expected to rain all day. But not complaining - it is very much needed. So I will clean up inside as nothing to be done outside (well nothing that urgent that it needs to be done in pouring rain :D)

May have a vet trip later on - my neighbours cat isn't well and they're trying to get an appointment. He works from home but doesn't drive, and she is working this morning. So if they get a morning appointment I'll take him and cat, if it's an afternoon appointment then they will sort it themselves.

Have a 'to be signed for' delivery arriving today; just hoping it doesn't arrive when I'm potentially at the vet - I'll leave a message on the door for the courier to take it next door if that does happen

Have a lovely day everyone, stay dry (except Ally - you stay cool :D)

Good afternoon everybody,

Hazy skies but no rain. Been to town for some shopping. Now just pootling. Still finding lotsof paperwork which I am shredding.

Will get the washer ready for another load. Sheets need changing and there are some towels. Will have a rest before I start.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :D

It rained heavily overnight and was still coming down when we got up around 9.30ish. It's stopped now, but still looks grey overhead.

Definitely not me Saundra

Fingers crossed this dry spell lasts all day, we're off on our biggest adventure yet this evening. We've booked a table at The Racing Greyhound for a pre Father's Day treat. It will be our first meal out since Feb last year, hope they're still doing their famous fishy Friday deal, but whatever's on the menu just doing something normal again will be lovely.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Hello all, it’s just started to rain here. It’s been such a humid morning.

Bill’s had his walk, the Tesco delivery has been and I’m about to go out out to meet my friend Ali at the designer outlet (thoughts and prayers for our bank balances please). It’s her birthday today, I’ve known her since I employed her just as she was leaving school aged 15 and she’s 46 today  Her eldest daughter Charlotte is my Goddaughter and she’s Joe’s Godmother. A good catch up is very much needed!

Saundra, I won’t be watching. I love football but I can’t stand international games and all of the hype surrounding the England team every time they get to a tournament.

Have a good day all :D

Afternoon all, I’ve been enjoying the lovely sunny day. Had a stroll with my friends this morning, we strolled and then sat in the sun for a while chatting. When I got home, I brought my lunch out to the terrace and did some sunbathing. Michael popped in on his way home to show us the medal he won at his school sports day, no parents/grandparents allowed this year. I’ve gone out to post a couple of birthday cards and collect a book from the library and now I need to do some ironing. We may go and look at Kellie’s football later on, SIL has done great work building up girls football in the club where Michael plays, and I think Miss Osc would like us to see how well it is going.

Jo, it’s nice to see an English person say how infuriating they find the hype around the English team. I think that is why many countries support whoever is playing opposite them!

Afternoon everyone :)

It's absolutely belting down here, but it was only cloudy when B and I left the house this morning. So we got caught in it - luckily we both had umbrellas :cute:  Popped in to see D, and stayed until there was a bit of a lull in the weather. Just got home. My lawn is greening up already, so the gardens definitely need it.

We're avoiding the football at all costs, in this house

Take care everyone xxx
