Good morning Ally & anybody else who is up.

Am having a problem with my computer. Could not log on yesterday. Finally got a new ethernet cable and managed to get it working.
Have arranged for a Virgin engineer to come tomorrow afternoon to check the router and installation.
Have volunteered to be a member of the team helping at one of the vaccination centers. I am going this morning for induction.
I have said I will do two mornings each week.

The sun is out again It is going to be hot.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning everyone

Was lovely earlier, but now clouded over

Watering done and will do the ironing after breakfast. Pootling this afternoon and my normal 50 lengths of the pool. Going to look more into getting a treadmill, see if I can find it cheaper than here.

Well done Cruiser :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s a disappointing day here too, dull, I want some sunshine :( Edward has gone to play golf and after I tidy around, I’m heading out to do a little shopping and pop into the optician - I was tidying out a drawer recently and found a pair of glasses. I have no idea where they came from, certainly not mine, but the frame is nice and I’m going to see if I can have my prescription put in to make them a second pair. I also want a new electric toothbrush, mine has suddenly developed a big crack, don’t know how it happened. I’ve had it for years, so maybe it’s time to replace it anyway.

Cruiser, that’s a lovely idea, I know one or two people doing it and they really enjoy meeting people and knowing that they are helping.

Morning all :D

Another bright sunny day 8-)

Well done Cruiser, what a lovely thing to do.
Hope your friend in Oz is feeling much better Saundra.
Very envious of you and the swimming pool Jan.

Another adventure for us today, we're off to M&S again shortly. It wasn't planned, but Tesco didn't deliver any lettuce yesterday. I'd ordered iceberg so presume they must have other types, but my fault as I didn't tick the substitute box. Anyway any excuse, it means we can also pick up a few other bits we particularly like, their Cornish Cruncher cheese for example. Will probably buy some strawberries, raspberries and blueberries too, the ones we get from there are always particularly tasty.

No other plans, expect we'll sit out in the garden this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

hello all.... again sorry for not posting the past few days. Weekend and sunshine meant no computer on for the whole weekend - yay. And yesterday; well not quite sure where that day went but it flew by

I'm in the office today - just for a few hours so about to leave. Had a few very large documents that needed printing and posting and my printer at home wouldn't cope with that much so it was easier for me to come in that try find a printing company. Actually quite nice on the odd occasion coming in; it does give a sense of normality. But as said I'm about to head off home again - with the hot weather the trains are playing up; so many signal and track issues it's not funny.

I hope everyone is having a lovely day and enjoy the rest of it

xx

Afternoon all, it’s been another hot and sunny one.

Bil had a very early long walk, two loads of washing have been done, dried, ironed and put away, the lawns have been cut and the bathrooms have been cleaned. I’m now making Di’s Jambalaya (I know it’s not called that but it’s what I call it as our Di shared the recipe on here some years ago) and there’s just John to come home from work now, Tom and Joe are both home, so once he’s here it’ll be ready to dish up.

Cruiser that’s wonderful, I think they’ve been needing more volunteers due to people returning to work after being furloughed making them unable to volunteer any longer.

Have a good evening all :)
