Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 06 May 2021, 05:22

Good morning.

Hot and sunny. Our duvet came off in April, bedroom fan went on last night. That'll be it till October. 8-)

Two hours teaching this morning then meeting my friend for coffee and pitufo. Today's will be scrambled egg and mushroom.

Work 4 - 7 then meet Don for a couple of cold beers.

GB Menu tonight and the last instalment of Unforgotten.

Have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely and sunny morning 8-)

Off on a jolly today :Hi: :Hi: Down to the Algarve, where it will be rather warmer  I intend to spend quite a bit of money  :Hi: It's a girls day out, although sadly Jan can't make it, as she has dreadful toothache. But Chris, Lucy and me are off nice and early. I'm even going to IKEA  Never been there before, but have been told they do the better bedding, so off we go.

Will be gone for most of the day and Grumpy has a list of stuff to get through ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

There was a very heavy rain shower when I got up at 7.00 a.m. But it has stoppedand there is blue sky. Tres are swaying so it could be windy.

Going shopping this morning. Then I will be ironing this afternoon.
A plumber is coming this afternoon. I want to have a water meter fitted and I want the stop tap moved so that it will be next to where
I want the meter fitted. Have been told it will reduce my water rates as I am on my own.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning everyone

Haven't posted in a while; sorry. The weekend was busy, Tuesday was a day in London in the office, yesterday doing all sorts and now it's Thursday - the week has just flown by!

Cruiser, you definitely should save quite a bit of money with a water meter, esp if you don't have a garden that needs watering. My property has a joint incoming water main so I can't have a meter fitted (just as well though given I do water the garden ;-) )

Jan, hope you have a lovely day and enjoy Ikea. You'll come home with loads of things you never realised you actually needed
Ally, you too have a lovely day

Usual work / pootling for me so nothing exciting to report. The sun is trying to come out and play but it's still just so darn cold overnight / early mornings. I'm so sick and tired of it and am longing for days I can walk around with flipflops / sandals and not have to wear who knows how many layers.

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning all.
I do envy your sun and warmth Ally. Cruiser you will say a lot of money with a water meter. Jan, make it crack! Have a lovely day spending. :D
Ria even though it is sunny here it is still cold; we can't get rid of that freezing wind.
We've had a big shock;we found out yesterday that one of MrsC's friends has died. J used to meet up with MrsC for a coffee every few months. She used to teach with her. J had always had problems with her blood and unbeknownst to us had been told she had 3 to 5 years to live, just before Christmas. Then in April her brother visited and told her she didn't look well at all and did she want him to make her a Doctors appointment? She told him not to worry as she had one of her regular hospital check ups the next day. She went off to the appointment and the next thing J's partner got a phone call from the hospital telling him that they thought J had only got 24 hours to live. She died the next day. It was myeloma, the same disease that killed my mum. This year has just been awful, dreadful.
Have a good day and stay safe all.

Morning all, it’s sunny here but chilly and more rain forecast for later - I’ll try and get the washing off the line before that happens, I left it out overnight as it got rained on yesterday. Michael and Kellie will be here later as per usual Thursday. So a bit of pottering around this morning before they arrive.

Crommers, that is so sad, condolences to MrsC, so hard to lose a good friend.

Morning all, it’s sunny and quite chilly.

There’s washing on the line so I’m hoping it’ll stay dry. I’m not optimistic though

Once I’ve dried my hair I’m popping down to the designer outlet to do some birthday present shopping for Joe. We’re paying towards his season ticket for his main present seeing as it’s his 21st but I want to get a couple of things for him to open on Saturday.

Crommers, that must’ve been a horrible shock. Sending lots of love to you both x

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :D

Bright one minute, the next cloudy and we've had a half hearted sprinkle of rain, bonkers weather

Enjoy your jolly Jan, spending lots of money sounds great fun.
Good luck with the plumber Cruiser, hope the bill's not too steep.
Crommers what a shock, sending condolences to Mrs.C and the family of her friend.

E's walking and exercises seem to be working, he's getting round the bungalow without aids really well, actually he's moving better than me. He still takes a walking stick out for his walks round the close, but that's more for confidence, most bungalows in our road have a dropped curb outside so it's very uneven.

I've popped a casserole in the slow cooker so dinner's taken care of. Expecting a Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon and that's about all the excitement here

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, enjoy! :D xxx

Jan, you too, enjoy your day out :D :D Any news on Mitchell? xxx

Cruiser you will definitely save money with a meter 8-) xxx

Nice to see you Ria :D I'm desperate for the warm weather too! xxx

Crommers, how dreadful, I'm so sorry :( xxx

Have fun with M and K, Osc :) xxx

Hope you find some bits for Joe, Jo :) It's Chris's birthday next Friday, and he's coming over for the day, so I'd better think of something to buy him. Problem is what do you but a 43 year old who already has all the gadgets he wants, and very little interest in clothes aside from them keeping him warm and decent :?

Hi Saundra :) xxx

Great news about E doing so well Jan :) xxx

It's sunny here, but no warmth to it! :cute:  I've been to Sainsbury's with D - voted on my way up there. My new clothes prop arrived, but they sent two  I only ordered one, but I have a spare now I guess :?

Take care everyone :) xxx
