Haggling

Got my renewal for my car breakdown cover. Had used it onece when I hada puncture and they came and changed the wheel.
It was on a Sunday afternoon.
The renewal had increases by over 15 %.
So I went on line and got a new quote for the same cover with the same company which is £700 less than I paid last year.
Contacted the firm by phone and they agreed I that I would only pay the price which was showing on my computer.
AA and RAC quotes online are nearly double what I am paying for same level of cover.

Wowser, that's a lot of money for breakdown cover

Very different here, breakdown is included, as are all the windows/screens and even a taxi for Ria

Is a taxi for Ria listed as one of the benefits in the terms and conditions?

That’s a lot Cruiser, we’ve paid less than £80 for AA.

£700 LESS! I can only assume that is for both, but goodness only knows what you are insuring, a gold plated Rolls Royce perhaps, and what your top line is.

Cruiser, I suggest that you get a broker on board and get this sorted out properly. IMO you are being had.

I pay £281 fully comp for the car insurance - replacement car, windscreen etc. (£200 excess, but covered up to £250 with Go Compare) and £94 for full breakdown cover - car to garage, me home. Green Flag.

The £700 has to be a typo, but even so....

It should read £7.00--seven pounds not £700

I missed the dot out. The renewal cost is £61.60--sixty one poundsand sixty pence for twelve months.
Includes Home start and taking you to a place of your choice.

I must have been having a senior moment.http:/

The taxi for Ria was when we were taking her down to Fuzeta, then to the airport and the car broke down. A free taxi 8-)
