Good morning Ally & anybody else who is up.

Just pootling again today.
An electrician should be coming to have a look at one of the light fittings. One of the bulbs doesn't light up.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, there is wet stuff falling from the sky, not seen much of that lately - in fact we were just saying that in a year of supermarket deliveries, they have never arrived in the rain  Edward is ok, slept quite well but says he feels very washed out. Not in pain as such, just aware that something has been done in his mouth. He had his breakfast, and we are planning meals for the next few days that will be easy to mush up. I ordered a nice bracelet for my sister’s birthday, which is next month, the designer is local and he just delivered it. It’s very pretty. We were standing at the door chatting and it’s freezing cold!

The good news here is that life is set to improve from the 10th May, with many of our restrictions being loosened or lifted altogether.......hairdresser!!!...so the mood is cheerful! No further word on my brother.

Afternoon all :D

Lovely and sunny here 8-)

Spent quite a bit of time on the phone yesterday, organised transport to Stanmore for E's follow up appointment on 12 May, was beginning to think it might not happen. Also spoke to the orthotics team at Canterbury hospital, it doesn't look as though he'll need new enhanced shoes, but they want to see him to check, appointment booked for 13 May. It will be a busy week, my diabetic blood test appointment is 10 May. They say things come in three's so hopefully that's all.

My hip is still playing up, E's happy to walk around the close so I'll be resting it for for a few more days. Planning to cut his hair this morning, it's quite a bit overdue, expect he'll moan throughout, but he's always been happy once it's done. Other than that, not much happening, expecting a Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

I just wandered out to look at the gravel and weeds and ended up weeding for the last four hours

Left the one's which didn't want to come out for Grumpy to do, but that's down the drive and I finished off the bottom drive :Hi:

Three very happy donkeys as they had all the weeds

Afternoon all :)

Thanks Al :D We're having lasagne too  xxx

Hope your light fitting gets sorted, Cruiser :)

I guess you resisted the weeding for as long as you could Jan  ;) xx

I'm glad E is ok Osc. Sending a hug (((x)))

Are you getting the fibre upgrade Saundra? It's chilly here too xxx

I'm glad you got the transport organised for E, Jen 8-) Hope your hip eases off soon, my left hip is becoming a problem, I've sent off for some glucosamine hoping it might help.

Another Thursday shopping trip to Sainsbury's this morning. It's really chilly here today, I'd like to sort my wardrobe out, and swap my winter and summer clothes over, but it's too cold yet! Did my ironing before I went.

Take care everyone :) xxx

Afternoon all, it’s been a mixed bag weather wise today. Sun one minute, rain the next and quite cool too.

We’ve been to Stafford this afternoon, just for a walk around and to pick up John’s pressure washer birthday present

Saundra, they’ve upgraded the cabling around here for fibre. We’ve had it for a few years but only to the green box down on the main road (I think) but we had a letter just before Christmas saying that they were bringing it to the houses and Openreach would be in touch. We never heard anything and then they turned up on the close a month or so ago and put some rolled up cabling by some front doors, including between us and next door (our doors are next to each other and the phone box things are inbetween). They came back a couple of weeks ago and connected up next door’s and knocked on our door and said that someone would call us within the next few days to see if we wanted ours upgrading. Still not heard anything.

Have a good day all :)
