Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 28 Apr 2021, 05:06

Good morning.

Looks and sounds gorgeous out there with the twittering of birds heralding a new day.

I realised at 8pm last night I hadn't posted on VV. :o

Off for a walk shortly then back to shower etc.

We're going shopping to los Patios again because when we were there on Monday there was a sign in C&A saying their sales were starting today and from past experience their sales are fab! It just so happened there was a few things my beady eyes spotted so they will be getting purchased today.

We'll have a spot of lunch whilst out. :P

Televisual feast tonight of GB Menu and GB Sewing Bee. :cute: :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny start to the day, misty in the valleys and although rain is forecast, think we've seen the last of it 8-)

Off to Ourique after breakfast, for the weekly shop. Need to pop into the Junta de Freguesia to find out when they will be coming here with the cencus form or if we can collect it there. Oddly, they're supposed to go to each house, with the form and either fill it in for you or give you a code so you can do it on-line. But they appear to have forgotten us

Pit stop for coffee and check the post box, then back to sort some washing out. Been far too wet to do any so far this week.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two, morning everyone

Good luck with the sales shopping Ally, always good to get a bargain ;-)
Hope you get that census sorted Jan

well a very dull day here; rain is promised but I'm not holding my breath until it actually happens. And when it does it remains to be seen just how much (or rather how little :( )
I was meant to do college and school pick up today but that is no longer needed so have the whole day to myself. So now popping out at midday to pick up a whole lot of plastic plant pots someone is looking to dispose of. I've already got some so I said I'd take whatever she had left over once everyone that wanted some had been, and I'd take everything off her and leave it at the allotment for people to help themselves. So will be busy busy busy at noon :D Just as well said house and allotment are only about 200m away from each other :D

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s like flippin’ November here, grey, cold and windy. Edward had to be at the dentist at 10am for his 2 1/2 hours of surgery in preparation for implants, rather him than me :? They will phone me when I can collect him. My brother went into hospital yesterday, he hasn’t been feeling great the last few weeks and blood tests showed very low haemoglobin so he is having blood transfusions and lots of tests. He phoned this morning and sounded his normal feisty self, already complaining about one of the doctors (I would hate to have to deal with him!) So a few vibes would be welcome, please. There is a lot of work going on in the empty shop premises next door to us, one of the workmen thinks it might be a cafe. Right, I’d better do something to fill the next couple of hours.

Lot of vibes from me too xx And for E at the dentist x

Change of plan - the heavens opened and it chucked it down, so gave the junta a miss. I'll ring them later.

Lovely to have a coffee at the bar though - even if everything has gone up 10 cents

Lots of vibes from me Osc, hope Edward gets on okay at the dentist too.

Morning all, it’s brightening up now after we got soaked on Bill’s walk. It was lovely to have some rain though.

No plans today apart from cleaning, dog walking and rolling my eyes at the amount John’s eating out of boredom (so far this morning he’s had a pre-walk bowl of Cornflakes, a post-walk bowl of porridge and a handful of chocolate digestives).

Need to go to Stafford at some point this week to get his birthday present, he wants a pressure washer so I’ve bought one from Argos there.

Have a good day all :D

Good afternoon :D

Bit dull and windy here

Have fun at the sales Ally, take a big bag
Jan hope you get the census sorted.
Good luck to E at the dentist Osc and lots of vibes for your brother xx

E did two walks round our close again yesterday, he'll do the same again today. I'm still sore, but resting my hip is slowly helping.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Ooh C&A, that brings back memories Al :D  xx

Hope you get the census stuff sorted Jan xxx

That's a result on the plant pots Ria 8-) :) xx

Osc, massive {{{{{{{{VV vibes}}}}}}}}} for your brother, and I hope E got on ok at the dentist's xx

Boredom eating is definitely a thing Jo  ;) xxx

Sounds like A is doing really well Jen 8-) :) xxx

It's bucketing down here. We woke to a phone call from D, just before 8, to say her loo was flushing right up to the rim! She was scared it was going to flood over the top, so Mick went round to see. It had actually drained away by the time he got there, but he's taking his rods round after work to have a proper look. I walked up there during a lull in the weather, to make sure she was ok. It was flushing by then, but draining either very fast, or very slow :? Mick will get it sorted. Got soaked in my way home, despite my big float with a hood, and an umbrella :cute: I had to get changed when I got in!

Good news, B has been thinking about career progression for a while now, spoke to them at work, and she's been offered a vererinart nursing assistant position, full time, three days at the Quedgely main branch where she is now, and two days at the Longlevens branch up the road from here, which is reopening soon after being closed since the first lockdown. She's delighted with this, as it has the possibility of a step into veterinary nursing - I think she'd be brilliant at that 8-) :D

Take care everyone :) xx
